Dog friendly? How 'bout maybe just aim for friendly?
Rowley Farmhouse AlesI had the absolute worst experience here. Know if you go in solo with a pooch, & step away for even a moment to pay or go to the bathroom, even clearing it with w/neighboring tables, you risk the unholy wrath of an angry manager. I noted they were busy & got up to pay the bill inside. She abruptly grabs my glass & tersely informs me of the no dog-left-alone policy for the first & only time. Ok. So I sit back down, and after she's been in & out a few times I offer my credit card. Without any words she takes it, mumbles something that sounds harsh as she's walking away, comes back & tosses the bill down. I noticed a 20% built-in gratuity so I ask it be removed. Then- my bad-- I dared to ask her why she was being so gruff with me, and she unleashed a tirade of insults- *very loudly* with myself & the surrounding tables looking mortified. Apparently I "walked in like I owned the place" & "nobody wanted to wait on you"- almost comical if it wasn't so childish--ya know, mean-girl jabs that someone with the emotional acuity beyond a 15-year-old would never say. Truly bizarre. So by all means, if you want your sour served with a sour mug and a public, verbal lashing, by all means, roll up.
