Tiny fake grass patch
Holiday Inn & Suites Nashville Downtown BroadwayThe hotel was great for humans, but only had a tiny, and very stinky, fake grass patch for dogs located by the entrance to the parking garage. We had to stay on the 4th floor, and since my dog hates elevators it was a stressful experience taking him down 4 floors to the stinky grass patch. Poor guy. Otherwise, for humans it was a well situated place close to all the attractions.
Comfortable and clean
Home2 Suites by Hilton Oklahoma City Quail SpringsThis was a great find on our cross country trip. It was nice to have a kitchenette and couch after staying in so many little hotel rooms on our road trip. Clean, quiet, comfortable, and I felt safe - just me and my dog. And it was nice to discover the Home2 Suites. We used one further on in our trip for a longer stay.
Fantastic in every way
Holiday Inn Asheville East-Blue Ridge PKWY an IHG HotelSo comfortable and welcoming that I booked an extra night. Best breakfast buffet of any hotel I’ve been to during our cross country trip. And just at the edge of the parking lot is a mini hiking trail especially for dogs. I like that the hotel is on a little hill so that there aren’t any other buildings right next to it. Oh, and the sheets are so soft and comfortable. Wonderful place to stay.
Comfortable and safe
Drury Inn & Suites AmarilloWe were comfy and cozy as usual here, and even though the freeway was nearby, we couldn’t hear a sound. I wish that we could have had a first floor room, but at least they put us by the stairs on the second floor with easy access to a patch of grass.
Very comfortable
Hilton Garden Inn West Little RockNice and quiet, safe and comfortable place to stay. Friendly staff. Great room. My pug and I stayed here one night on our drive across country.
Mendocino is beautiful
Hill House InnEven though the TV didn’t work and there was no refrigerator or microwave in the room, and coffee was in the hotel lobby, the room was spacious, the bed was big and comfortable, and the view was lovely. Also, Mendocino is just gorgeous so it’s not really about the room. Go out and explore! The Hill House and Mendocino Hotel are going through a change of ownership so I suspect the rooms will be updated. I was born and raised in Mendocino so just being able to stay at a hotel in town with my dog feels like being home.
We love this place!
Monterey Peninsula InnMy pug Vinny and I are frequent flyers at the Monterey Peninsula Inn. It’s always comfortable and easy. Microwave and fridge in the room is a plus. And the hot tub is a great perk for me. We love Pacific Grove and this is our usual spot to stay when we’re on a road trip.
Dingy
San Simeon LodgeWell, it was affordable. That much I can say. And it’s nice being next to the beach. But the mattress was all springs and not much cushion. No microwave and a tiny tiny fridge. The carpet felt damp, so I made sure to wear flip flops and not walk barefoot in the room. The bathroom only had a tiny shower (sink & toilet) and a small window that opened to the parking lot where people could see in. Kept that closed. Walls were thin, but I used a white noise app on my phone to fall asleep. The big grassy lawn was nice for my pug to stroll through. Overall, I wouldn’t stay there again but it was okay for just that one night. Next time I’ll pay a little bit more for a little more comfort.
