Very Santa Fe
Hotel Santa FeWhile Hotel Santa Fe is dog friendly, the pet "area" is located at the back corner of the property and couldn't be larger than 10 X 10; it is not fenced and is right next to a busy street. A very small dog might find this acceptable but it wasn't enough roaming space for a 35 lb. dog. We walked up and down the sidewalk many times in order to take care of business. In addition, ground floor units near exterior exits are preferable. Second floor rooms, although lovely, are located down long, winding corridors with elevator access (stairs are available if your dog will use them - mine wouldn't). If it weren't for the very small dog area (that was misinterpreted as being fenced), four bones would be appropriate.
Beautiful hotel but
Kimpton Hotel Monaco Denver an IHG HotelA lovely hotel with great rooms and very friendly staff...NO complaints about anything. However, if your dog isn't accustomed to an urban environment with all of the traffic sounds, cars, buses, and pedestrians, AND if you have a pooch that's timid to begin with, this is not the best location. There is a nearby dog park (dirt), but if your dog isn't used to rambunctious dogs, he/she may have "taking care of business" issues. Having said that, the Kimpton Monaco (with the assistance of BringFido) accommodated us when another hotel lost our reservation so BIG Kudos to them for helping us out.
