1. experience wasn't good
by Joanne of Hillsborough, CA
My family stayed at Best Western Yosemite Gateway about 4 yrs. ago. We asked for a non-smoking room for medical reasons, and it was extremely smoky. We couldn't change rooms as all were booked for that holiday weekend. I thought the service was poor and the front desk was very non-responsive. Maybe over the last 4 yrs. the hotel has changed. Our experience wasn't good.

2. Nice Chateu-like Best Western
by Rafael of Studio City, CA
This may be one of the better Best Westerns anywhere. It is very cozy and scenic and quiet. The staff was pleasant and rooms were nice sized and clean. Most rooms seem to have 2 queen beds, so your dog may have their own (ours did). They don't seem to mind what size dog you bring, we saw smaller dogs and larger dogs - and several dogs for one owner. The only thing they ask is that your dog doesn't disturb other people.
This is a good base camp for Yosemite day trips - dont miss the Angel Falls Trail by Bass Lake either, it was fun. |
