I'm 71 and my English Cocker Spaniel will be one in 2022. I've driven about 50,000 miles with my dog/s in the last 8 years. They just love the convertible.

Don’t Go Here
Knights Inn & Suites EmporiaA very sad location, which may explain the low price. It looks like no maintenance has been performed in 30 years. In my room, there was no available outlet for charging devices. The curtains have been damaged and no one had bothered to fix them. The porcelain in the sink had a number of chips and showed rust near the drain. After walking my dog in the morning, I had problems with the key cards. I kept working and it finally opened although I noticed there was no one in the office in the morning and I’m not sure how you could contact. If I could give it -2 bones, I would.

Great Value
Desert Inn TucumcariI probably give this hotel three bones but for the fact that it is a great value. It’s about $100 less than the nearby La Quinta and Holiday Inn. Staff was helpful and friendly, a few quibbles here and there, but I gladly stay there again.

Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Airport AlbuquerqueLooks like the hotel needs a little bit of an upgrade to compete with the other hotels within a block of it. Not bad, but not great.

Not That Dog Friendly
Chateau VersaillesThe hotel required a $400 advance. If you left your dog unattended in the room, it cost you $400. Good thing the weather was nice and a few sidewalk cafés permitted dogs. Although the staff was very kind and helpful, the hotel was in need of a serious, refresh. Science included threadbare towels, lack of outlets in a room for charging devices, CFL bulbs in lights. Just two or three blocks to the old city, made it a fine location, but less than stellar execution.

Extended Stay America Suites Wichita EastMy credit card was compromised when I used the hotel's Wi-Fi. That might not have been their problem but one of the reasons for the low review. The second reason is that the hotel looks to be at least 15 years overdue for a renovation.
