Great Stay
Best Western Plus Fort Stockton HotelClean room, comfortable beds, and dog runs! Decent breakfast. Elevator was broken but I would stay here again!
No One Served Us
HaymakerWe were the only people on the patio and no one ever came out to serve us. After about 15 minutes we went back in and asked the host if anyone was going to come out and all she had to say was “yeah your server knows”. We went back out and waited another ten minutes before giving up and leaving. Was really sad cuz their food looked really good. :(
Love this place!
Barrio Brewing CompanyDog friendly patio, AMAZING food, and great beer! Staff was so friendly and gave the dogs love and treats! So glad we found this cute spot!!
Good Stop!
Red Lion Inn & Suites Goodyear PhoenixGreat dog friendly stop off I-10! Grass out front and more with a pet station out back. Walking distance to multiple dog friendly restaurants and Starbucks. Comfortable beds.
Five Bones!
Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Bishop an IHG HotelThe perfect stop on 395, so glad we found this place! Clean, comfortable, quiet rooms with free breakfast/coffee. There is a little grass out front for pet relief but right next door is a huge park with a fenced in dog park that was so nice! Be sure to call ahead as this spot does fill up with skiers going to Mammoth and they only allow pets on the first floor (they did not enforce a weight limit, both of my dogs are over 100 pounds).
Yikes
Quality Inn Benson I-10 Exit 304Rundown old motel, exterior exits, loud all through the night, rough crowd, coffee and “breakfast” included was horrible. No good place to take the dogs to go to the bathroom. Don’t walk them off the path or rocky areas there are tons of prickers everywhere! Only reason I gave two bones instead of one was because the beds were decent and it was reasonably clean.
Not The Best
La Quinta by Wyndham Albuquerque WestConvenient stop off 40 with decent pet relief grassy area out by the entrance. Hotel was a bit run down and in need of some updates. Not very comfortable beds and no fridge in room. Floors were pretty gross, dogs would not stop sniffing the years worth of stains.
Fun Little Place
The Pizza PatioStopped here for lunch passing through Flagstaff and enjoyed sitting out on their dog friendly patio, luckily it was a cooler day since there is not much shade on the patio. Staff was SUPER dog friendly and gave our pups some delicious home made treats and water. Pizza was pretty good too. Unfortunately, they were very very slow and I would not recommend this as a quick stop for travelers, but if you want to take longer time and relax on the patio it’s great (disclosure: this was right after reopening during COVID times and their internet was down, so maybe they were still working out the kinks).
Great Location
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Williams-Grand Canyon AreaBest stop on 40 I’ve ever found! Nice new hotel in a great location, a little over an hour from Grand Canyon with an awesome dog friendly brewery right next door! Rooms were clean, decent beds, and nice sized AstroTurf pet relief area next to the pool. Will definitely be back!
Good Spot
Four Points by Sheraton Ontario-Rancho CucamongaWould have given 5 bones, but there was no good spot for pet relief. If you walk across the parking lot there’s some grass in front of Shogun. Otherwise, hotel was great! Rooms were clean, beds comfortable, and ac worked well. Also, great location close to lots of food options.
Just Okay
Tru By Hilton El Paso East Loop 375Chose this spot because I was traveling with my two dogs, both over 100 pounds, since they have no weight limit. Disappointed in their “pet friendliness”, no grass or any decent place for pets to do their business. Did appreciate no carpet in the rooms though. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable but AC was incredibly loud and kept me up all night. Will be trying somewhere else next time I’m traveling on 10.
