I won’t go if my dog can’t go

Must see
Ice Cave & Bandera VolcanoAmazing. Hike to the bottom of an ice cave, then hike around to the top of a (not active) volcano. The trail is covered in smooth crushed lava rock. It’s well taken care of and very clean. We went in early May. The trail bed was not hot, as lava rock is porous it doesn’t hold in heat. But, it is black and looked like it could become hot. Consider doggie shoes if hiking in the summer time as the trails and paths may get hot. Bring your own water, snacks, and doggie poop bags.
Great place to stop
PistachioLandSuper dog friendly, quirky pistachio farm turned souvenir shop. They gave my dog a treat inside the store at the register, outside she got a pup cup at the ice cream counter, and then we hopped on the 12 passenger golf thing for the tree farm tour. The tour was $3 and totally worth it! My dog sat in my lap and enjoyed looking around. Worth the time to stop.
