Pros and cons
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Albuquerque Historic Old Town an IHG HotelThe hotel was decent enough. As far as cleanliness, our room had a couple of dirty towels. The property seems a little run down but still good enough. There’s a Starbucks, Dominos, and a few more places to eat nearby which is a plus as well as a gas station but there was also a little bit of homeless around the area. I guess the area makes up for it by having security cars roaming the area but it does leave us wary about having our things in the car (we are moving cross country). The customer service was awesome though! Very friendly receptionist. Area for dogs to potty is a little small but good enough for our two little ones.
Overrated
La Quinta by Wyndham Lubbock SouthI’m not sure why this hotel has 4.5/5 bones. The desk receptionist was kind and helpful but the quality of the room was subpar. There were so many stains as though nothing had been changed out or cleaned. Then as we were checking out of the hotel, there was dog pee on the lobby floor and they must have not had much staff because none of them cleaned it up even after they were told about it or even put signs up to block it. So, people were stepping in it and spreading it all around the lobby floor. I felt gross after staying only a night.
