Awesome spot!

The staff was super friendly and bent right down to pet my dog when she walked in! Awesome place to hit if you need a break from the road or something to fill a rainy afternoon. Awesome photo ops!

Best dog park in Va I’ve seen!

Without a doubt, between Charlottesville, Richmond, Roanoke and all the places in between, this is the nicest Dog Park I’ve been to in the state. The community obviously cares about it a lot, and after speaking to one of the locals doing maintenance, apparently the community built it all from the ground up!

The Park is located in Matthews Park, on the same side of town as the Community College. My GPS took me to a different 5th Street nearby, so make sure you look at where it is on the map!
