Not really 4 bones
High Country Motor Lodge - Near NAU/DowntownI really wanted to love this place. The lobby is impressive and the vibe was exactly what we were looking for. However, looks can be deceiving. The building is very old. The room we stayed in had paper thin walls and a very large crack in the ceiling. The doors had about six layers of paint to include the hinges and the water even went out at one point. The lights flickered constantly. I could have overlooked all of that because the hot tub made up for it, if I had gotten a lick of sleep for my $600 2-night stay. The walls were so thin, we could here every suitcase on the stairs, every high heel shoe, every ambulance, and every conversation around us. We could here the furniture moving above us and the water running from our neighbor. Needless to say, our dog didn't get any sleep either and was on high alert the entire time. I would pass on this one, especially with the high pet fee.

You get what you pay for
Red Roof Inn Asheville - Biltmore WestPros: The rooms were clean...mostly. Hot water and close to everything in Asheville. Plus NO pet fee. Cons: The grounds were disgusting. There were cigarette butts and dog poop everywhere. I stepped in dog poop twice just walking to and from my car. There is trash everywhere and the garbage cans are overflowing. There were multiple homeless camps near by so I didn't feel very safe walking my dog anywhere. I even saw several needles within 20 feet of my motel door. Yikes!

Barktastic!
Joe Mama's Wood Fired PizzaCan't say enough about this gem. Staff was amazing! Our waitress rocked! The back patio is so lovely and they even had a leash hook for our baby girl. A water bowl with cold fresh water came right away and there were dog treats on the table. We all loved this place! Oh and the pizza was delicious!
