OK but service was disheartening
Best Western Bridgeview HotelRoom was as described. Fairly comfortable bed. Partly modernized. Good breakfast choices. Evening staff seemed new, as they were unsure of what restaurants were close by and if they were open on Monday (most aren't). There were no maps available to show where businesses were and the staff seemed uncomfortable giving me directions from the map on my phone. Referred me to streets that weren't on the map as if we should know where they are. We finally ended up at an A&W, extremely hungry after our long day of driving. To top it off, this booking was prepaid, and we should only have had to pay $10 USD for our dog fee. Instead they charged us for the room again.

Adequate for the price
Days Inn by Wyndham Mackinaw City - LakeviewThe price was extremely competitive which should have been my first clue. The floor was vinyl plank, which was fine because we had our dog with us. But it was filthy. The souls of my feet turned black and I had to put my sandals back on. The air conditioning unit was really noisy and not very efficient. "Breakfast" in the morning was a tiny chocolate muffin and a coffee. We had paid for a "lakeview" room and if we strained to look out the window to one side we could see a bit of lake. To be fair, it looked like there were other units in a different building that did have balconies that looked directly to the water. Who knows, maybe they even had clean floors and quiet air conditioning?

Clean and spacious, great price!
Days Inn by Wyndham MontmagnyMostly redecorated, spacious room, clean, comfy bed. Back off the highway a bit, so quiet. Excellent service in both official languages. Outdoor pool. Good breakfast selection including boiled eggs, fruit cups, and other fruits. The only thing missing for us would be a selection of healthy frozen dinners for sale at the front desk. There is a takeout restaurant nearby that had delicious Thai and chicken salads but they were $20 a piece and more than we needed.

Adequate but nothing special
Days Inn by Wyndham Ste Helene-De-BagotClean and half renovated. Breakfast was just cereal, bagels, muffins. No eggs or protein. No lunch or supper items available. Surrounded by a bunch of fast food restaurants just like on the road. Very limited tv channels.
