Great for dogs
Best Western Mission InnThey have a really nice green, grassy area for your dogs. We’re on the bottom floor and it’s right outside the door. It’s so convenient! The windows are huge and my dog enjoyed watching what was going on outside. It really is perfect if you are traveling with a dog. The room was clean and had a fridge, microwave and coffee maker.
Large area for walking dogs
La Quinta by Wyndham KerrvilleThe staff is friendly. There is a large lot next to the hotel with plenty of room to walk your dog. I would stay here again. It was nice being able to take the dog for a nice long walk on something other than pavement. I took a bone away because our room had a few cleanliness issues: stained pillowcase and a used coffee pod left in the coffee maker.
Nice big park
City of Gallup Dog ParkThis was a really nice, big park. Shaded picnic tables. It was a pleasant surprise. Our dog was a happy boy to get out and stretch his legs. We had to walk our dog on a leash because he was still recovering from surgery, but it’s big enough to get a nice walk in. No other dogs were in the park while we were there.
Nice Stop
Best Western Arizonian InnClean rooms. Plenty of room. Fridge & microwave. There is no designated pet area. The dogs just have to go potty in the rock beds or very few bushes. There’s no grass anywhere. It’s not a good place to be able to take your dog for walk. It’s concrete and rocks. It was fine, just don’t expect a pet area. Just a heads up.
Big Dogs Welcome
Hillcrest Inn & Suites OzonaThe room was clean. The floors are tile, which is very nice. Our only complaint was the lack of a place to walk our dog. There wasn’t a designated pet area. (Not that I noticed)We walked our dog along the street. No big deal, just wasn’t pleasant to walk our dog with trash along the road. I really appreciate that they allowed our big dog to stay. We would stay here again on our next trip. Also, being able to park in front of the room is great. It’s so much easier to unload your vehicle and to take doggo for a quick walk.
What A Fantastic Hotel
La Posada Lodge & Casitas Ascend Hotel CollectionThis place is great and pet friendly. Our little casita backed up to some trees and greenery. It was beautiful. The little yard in the back is perfect for a quick pet potty break. It has a nice grassy area. There’s a nice restaurant on site and we had a lovely meal and wine. Our dog was very happy. He got to stretch out on the couch and chill with us. We really loved this place. It’s very charming and the staff was great. It’s worth driving a few extra minutes if you have a pet or not. The pet fee was more than most places ($25) but they accept big dogs and the lovely, large pet area was worth it.
Perfect for Travelers
San Lucas Community ParkWe had a great time at this little dog park. It was small, but clean. The dog park is within a regular park. There are bathrooms (clean), a playground, picnic tables and plenty of parking. Our dog even made some friends. I’m so happy we stopped at this location. Thank you!
