Good place for a walk!
Battelle Riverfront ParkIt’s beautiful along the river, and a really nice walk. There were a lot of homeless sleeping on benches and we were approached for money, but we did get a good workout!
Amazing
Huntington's Petsafe Dog ParkMy 3 dogs had a wonderful time. there is some agility equipment for the really energetic dogs. there is a fountain with 3 levels: for adults, children, and dogs! Overall a great park!
Very nice!
CoCo's Sunset GrilleImmediately at the top of the steps to enter there was a dog bowl with water, which Clover took full advantage of. The staff was very nice and seated my family inside with Clover. Even leaving, the staff remembered her name and wished her farewell. Overall a great environment.
Amazing!
Captain Mike's Dolphin Tours - Permanently ClosedEveryone was very nice and the Mate even made some jokes about Clover as we sailed along. Clover got to be at the front of the boat, and see app the dolphins. She barked some (we’re still working on manners) and nobody seemed to mind. We saw a cat that hangs around the dock, so do not bring cat-aggressive dogs, or arrive very close to boarding, so you don’t have to prolong exposure. Overall, amazing.
Amazing!
The Original Crab ShackEveryone was so accommodating, and we frequently had people come and ask to pet Clover (which she loved). Clover was even able to go up and watch the alligators swim around. She is still working on her public manners, so she still barks when she’s nervous, but we were left to handle it ourselves, and that made the environment feel safe. There are cats, but they will keep their distance if they need to. Do not bring cat or dog aggressive dogs here.
Great!
Sandcastle InnThe room itself is good, very nice floors and beds. Clover is a great swimmer so my mother brought her over to the pool while I was swimming. Clover got in and all the kids (and some adults) were infatuated with the swimming dog. Now, this is completely my fault for not reading the sign: an employee came over and very discreetly signaled that Clover was not allowed. Being that I have anxiety and depression, I was very grateful he didn’t do it loudly or blatantly. All in all, I was very happy with how they handled us, especially after we broke a rule. The rooms are all in all quiet, and that helped both me and Clover feel safe and secure.
