Fun meandering trails
Bedwell Bayfront ParkThis park is a mesh of branching paths rather than a single hiking trail. It's fun to explore without feeling like you have to go a certain pace and you can make your trip as long or as short as you want. Good if your dog or human isn't up for a strenuous hike, although it's hilly and unpaved.
We went on a 90 degree day in September so we didn't get to explore the whole park due to concerns about the heat. Lots of dry grass and only scattered trees. Bring sunscreen and water! It's probably greener at other times of the year.
Regarding coronavirus, even though there were lots of cars, there was plenty of space to spread out. You'll want a mask for the parking lot and the trails when you first enter the park since those are busier.
