Lots of trees!
Mary Jo Wegner ArboretumWe visited while staying in Sioux Falls during our road trip with 2 dogs in April. This time of year in SD wasn't great to check this place out since the trees were still bare. I bet it is beautiful in the late spring and summer with all the trees in full-bloom. There was a nice walking path to see some art, lots of trees, and some historical items. There are benches and trash cans along the path. Lots of grassy patches for water breaks with your pups.

Pup cups!
Caribou Coffee 10th & BahnsonWe visited while staying in Sioux Falls during our road trip with 2 dogs in April. This location only offers drive-thru or walk up orders. We went during the earlier morning for hot chocolates. I asked if they offered pup cups and they said of course! Employee was very friendly and service was quick! The pups loved their pup cups!

Newer State Park in SD
Good Earth State ParkWe visited while staying in Sioux Falls during our road trip with 2 dogs in April. We looked into this park beforehand and read it was a new State Park in SD. The photos on their site showed lots of green grass and trees so we were excited to check it out. At this time of the year in SD, we knew it wasn't going to be in full bloom so didn't expect it as exactly as pictured. It was pretty dry and hot that day so we made sure to pack lots of water. There is a visitor center with exhibits/information set up and some reptiles showcased, along with restrooms. The trail we did had tree coverage and was mostly shaded. The trail went downhill, then we walked along the path next to river and then the uphill trek back to the top. There were several trails to use but most seemed to be in the sun and prairie/grasslands from what we could see.

Nice pet store
Woofs & WavesWe visited while staying in Sioux Falls during our road trip with 2 dogs in April. We were welcomed right away and the employee asked if our pups could have a treat. It was a pretty quiet pet store. A good variety of dog items and treats, along with a larger section of fish and aquarium goods. The pups enjoyed looking at the fish in the tanks, there were some colorful and unique fish/reefs showcased. It was a nice store and we bought a few dog treats and local goodies.

Pet Wants Sioux FallsWe visited while staying in Sioux Falls during our road trip with 2 dogs in April. Awesome store! Employee was super friendly and welcoming and gave our pups lots of love! Our pups went on a shopping spree in here and loved all the goodies! Lots of treat varieties, barkery goods, lickimats, slowfeeders, peanut butter flavors, local goodies, toys, bandanas and collars/leashes. The store was very clean and organized even though they offered a lot of items. Wish this store was located where we live, we would be regulars. Highly recommend!

Beautiful park and waterfalls!
Falls ParkWe visited while staying in Sioux Falls during our road trip with 2 dogs in April. There is a walking path that goes around the park. There are some sculptures, historical pieces, waterfalls and grassy areas. You can walk on the large rocks and sand areas to get closer and the pups can enjoy getting their feet wet. Really nice area to check out! We enjoyed it.

Awesome Dog-Friendly Park
Tower Grove ParkWe visited while staying in St. Louis during our road trip with 2 dogs in April. This is another large park St. Louis has that was fun to explore with our dogs. Lots of nature, trees, beautiful flowers, ducks, several birds, ponds, art and historic information pieces. It was a beautiful area! People were friendly and there were several dogs walking with their humans. There were picnic shelters and lots of grassy areas to rest in.

Dog-Friendly Asian Gardens
Robert D. Ray Asian GardensWe visited while staying in Des Moines during our road trip with 2 dogs in April. It was smaller than expected but still an interesting place to check out. It's right next to the river. Several pieces of art that were neat to see and they have historical information listed around the park.

Nice Dog-Friendly Lake and Park
Gray's Lake ParkWe visited while staying in Des Moines during our road trip with 2 dogs in April. Large park with a walking path/trail around the lake. There is a cool bridge you walk across the lake on the opposite area of the parking lot. Several dogs and their humans walking the path and lots of large grassy areas to relax for water breaks. There was a little area past the bridge to see birds with several bird feeders that was cool to watch. Nice lake to walk around with the dogs.

Nice Dog-Friendly Park
Siouxland Freedom ParkWe stopped here while driving through the area during our road trip with 2 dogs in April. It's a nice little park with several pieces of art and historical information and walking trails. It was very windy the day we stopped by, we were the only ones at the park so it was nice and quiet.

Awesome Turtle Sculptures!
Turtle PlaygroundWe visited while staying in St. Louis during our road trip with 2 dogs in April. We were exploring the huge Forest Park area and wanted to check out this Turtle Sculpture area (Turtle Playground) too. You do have to cross a bridge over the interstate to get to this side of the park, but it was fenced and secure. There were several others that crossed when we did. Large turtle sculptures were awesome to see! There is a grassy areas to sit and relax with the pups for a water break.

Dog-Friendly Art Park
Laumeier Sculpture ParkWe visited while staying in St. Louis during our road trip with 2 dogs in April. Lots of unique and interesting art pieces to check out around this park. There were several dogs and their humans exploring the park. Lots of grassy areas and even some wooded trails. It was a fun relaxing area to check out after a busy day.

Awesome Dog-Friendly Park
Forest ParkWe visited while staying in St. Louis during our road trip with 2 dogs in April. This park is huge with lots to explore and see! We walked all around this park - around the outside of the zoo, several gardens, World Fair historic site, and several art pieces and sculptures. Lots of nature and grassy areas as well. Dogs aren't allowed in the zoo or buildings but were welcome everywhere else. There is also a Turtle sculpture area (Turtle Playground) with large turtles sculptures to check out. You just have to cross the bridge over the interstate (there is fencing and several others crossed when we did). Awesome dog-friendly park to explore!

Very Dog-Friendly!
Gateway Arch National ParkWe visited while staying in St. Louis during our road trip with 2 dogs in April. We parked in a downtown parking garage (bought ticket online night before as website suggested), walked around downtown to see the art and gardens and then walked to the Gateway Arch. Very nice area! Lots of grass, walking paths and nature to enjoy! You can walk down by the river as well. We explored all the paths and then sat and relaxed by the Arch in a huge grassy area. Very cool to see it in person! Weather was perfect. The Gateway Arch National Park has a BARK Ranger program as well and our 2 pups received a bandana each with the Arch on it from the park ranger. Just go into the Visitors Center and ask about the BARK Ranger program.

Nice art and gradens

Nice Park!
Centennial ParkWe visited while staying in Nashville during our road trip with 2 dogs in April. Lots of grass and areas to walk around on paths. We didn't use the dog park so can't comment on that area. The park and walking trail with monuments and the Parthenon were really nice! Pups seemed to enjoy as well!

Fun experience!
Pins Mechanical Co.We visited while staying in Nashville during our road trip with 2 dogs in April. We visited on a Thursday afternoon to pass some time and wait out busy traffic that was at a stand still. There were quite a few people there at that time already. Employees were very friendly and welcomed our doggos with pets and treats! One of our dogs is a bit sensitive with loud noises while it doesn't bother the other one, so we weren't exactly sure how it would go for us or how long we would stay. We played a game of Duckpin Bowling (not as loud as regular bowling but still has a smaller heavy ball hitting pins) and played a couple of pinball games. We ordered a couple drinks and the pups a water and they gladly accommodated. Loki was relaxed and enjoyed the attention and treats from several employees. Echo did fine during the duckpin bowling but couldn't get relaxed during the pinball games and was ready to go so we didn't stay too long, didn't want to stress our girl out. A really nice place and everyone was friendly!

Great Park!
Bicentennial Capitol Mall State ParkWe visited while staying in Nashville during our road trip with 2 dogs in April. It's a very nice park! We visited during the day and it wasn't too crowded but we did see several people walking their dogs. Lots of grass and walking areas. The park has various areas with TN history and the area. Really nice park to visit with the dogs!

Moving Locations
Dog Welcome Center at Dog Door Behavior Center and OutfittersWe visited while staying in Asheville during our road trip with 2 dogs in April. We were able to park right across the street with a pay meter, next to the Grove Arcade. After reading the amazing reviews, I was excited to stop here with the dogs! Unfortunately, our experience wasn't that great. We weren't greeted or welcomed, there were 2 workers behind the counter and in the back room. Flyers on the door and around the store said they were moving and moving sale info. There were little cups sitting on a table to take with dog-friendly hikes and places to visit, a map, and a small treat in a bag. It was fairly empty in the store, most likely due to moving, and we were the only customers at that time in the am. We did get a couple lickimats and SodaPup slow feeders at a great price because of their moving sale!

Very dog-friendly!
Mast General StoreWe visited while staying in Asheville during our road trip with 2 dogs in April. We've visited other Mast General Store locations before, first time at the Asheville one. All the employees are very friendly and asked to pet and give treats to our dogs. They have water bowls for the dogs as well. Lots of local goodies for humans and doggos. Definitely visit! Love these stores!

Double D's Coffee & DessertsWe visited Double D's Coffee while staying in Asheville during our road trip with 2 dogs. It's a very cool bus and the decor around it is fun and unique. There was 1 person taking and making the orders but she was quick. We ordered pup cups and they were paper bowls filled whipped cream. The pups loved them! Our lattes tasted amazing too! Would definitely visit again if in the area, and highly recommend!

There was a large grassy area next to the hotel to walk to the dogs but there was only 1 light near that area at night. Close to food options. Comfort Inn Lafayette I-65We booked a 1 night stay through BringFido. Check-in and out was easy, staff was friendly. On the pet agreement form needed to sign for the hotel upon check-in, it was noted to not use the main entrance with the dogs, or have them in the breakfast/food areas. Luckily, there was a side door we could use near our room so we didn't need to use the main entrance. There were several grassy spots around the hotel to walk the dogs. Close to food options. Hotel was quiet on the week night we stayed, beds were comfortable.

Would not recommend
Baymont by Wyndham ClintonWe booked a 1 night stay through BringFido. Upon arrival, we noticed there were a lot of people standing around and smoking outside between the hotels which made us a little anxious. People seemed friendly and complimented our dogs but we wouldn't go out alone in the dark. Not a lot of grassy area to walk the dogs. The hotel smelled like cigarette smoke and our room had a weird smell as well, but not as bad as the hallway. The room needs to be updated and the bathroom definitely needs some work (toilet wobbled, shower and paint/ceiling). Beds were comfortable but would not stay here again. Close to food options.

Great trails!
Sycamore Shoals Historic AreaWe stop here with our 2 dogs to adventure on the trails while travelling through / visiting the area. The trails are nice and go along a river. There are a few smaller wooden bridges to cross water or you can walk across in the water. The pups enjoy playing in the water at these spots. There are benches and areas to sit for a water break. Lots of trees and nature, it's very pretty! We did see a bigger black snake once but we just gave it space and let it cross, no issue, just keep your eyes open and be aware.

Nice little park!
Grace Street ParkWe enjoyed this park with our 2 dogs! It was a great place to get out and stretch our legs after a drive. The trail is gravel/pebbles that goes around a pond. There are dog pick up stations. There were lots of ducks and geese around the pond. It has a little walking area with sculptures and artwork to view and some other tails that connect to this park. We adventured a little ways on those trails. There is a fenced in dog park in this park but we didn't use it, seemed like a nice park though.

Lots of trash!
Heritage TrailWe had a hard time finding the trailhead and parking area since our gps on our phone kept taking us through the neighborhood. The parking area is at a Railway Museum and the trailhead has a sign with the name/info faded and broke so that would be why we couldn't find it. The trail is paved but it was full of trash on both sides and we didn't feel comfortable after walking a short while so we turned around and headed back. Would not recommend.

Great experience!
25 Drive in Auto TheatreWe visited this drive-in a few times last year with our 2 dogs and had a great time! It is a drive for us since we don't live in Greenwood but it is worth the drive to experience this with our dogs. The food is good, we sat at an outdoor table under a patio to eat where the dogs could join us and enjoyed some food as well. There is plenty of room to walk around in grass for a walk break. We brought a blanket for the dogs to lay on while we had our camp chairs.

Great trail with lots of nature!
Manchester MeadowsThis is a great trail to enjoy with our 2 dogs! It's a paved trail that goes around the park and through a wooded area where you're surrounded by trees. Lots of smells for the dogs and it's relaxing for us humans. We've spotted deer in the wooded area multiple times. There is a pond with a water fountain to walk around with lots of turtles and geese. There are also trash cans and dog pick up stations around the park. There are soccer fields so it can get busy during soccer season on the weekends.

Great trail!
Cherry ParkThis is a great park to enjoy a walk with your dogs. It has a 1.5 mile paved path around the park with trees surrounding. There are baseball fields in the center of the park. Our dogs spot lots of squirrels in the trees and sides of the path, lots of smells for them to enjoy too. There are benches along the path and trash cans.

Beautiful park with lots of nature!
Glencairn GardenWe love visiting Glencairn Garden for a walk with our 2 dogs! There are large water fountains, ponds to spot turtles and fish, little bridges crossing the water, lots of plants, trees, flowers and nature! It's a very relaxing area to enjoy a walk. There are paved paths going all over the park, so many smells for the dogs. There are benches and swings to have a water break with the dogs.

Relaxing trail with lots of nature!
Piedmont Medical Center Trail at RiverwalkThis is a relaxing trail next to a river with lots of trees and nature! There are resting areas and benches/swings to take a water break with your dogs and enjoy the scenery. We spot turtles sunning on rocks and logs in the river, lots of birds, deer and even those pesky bushy tailed creatures (squirrels) jumping around and climbing the trees around us. Lots of smells for the dogs. There are a few different trailheads to start your walk from. There is a dog store and food eateries, etc at one area, another trailhead has an area with restrooms and a water drinking fountain. There are dog pick up stations with trash cans along the trail too.

Lots of trails and nature!
Anne Springs Close GreenwayThere are lots of trails to explore at Anne Springs Close Greenway! It's always a fun adventure and our 2 dogs love going here. There are so many smells! There are a few spots where the dogs can play in the water and cool off. There are horses, donkeys and goats in fenced in pastures along some trails. You may see people riding horses on the trails, so watch where you step since there are horse droppings in certain areas. The staff is always friendly here. There is outdoor seating outside the store/restaurant to sit with your dogs. They have dog bowls full of water outside the store too.

Hot Dog DepotLots of different options and types of hot dogs! They have more food than just hot dogs too. Their shakes are really good! Staff is always friendly and ask if our dogs can have a treat.

P W's Ice CreamDefinitely visit PW's for ice cream! Lots of flavors and options. We visit through the drive-thru but there are outdoor tables out front. The staff is always friendly and quick and always offer a treat (wafers) to our dogs.

Awesome coffee shop!
Knowledge PerkThis is our favorite coffee shop in Rock Hill! Very friendly staff and great drinks/breakfast items. I always ask for pup cups for our 2 dogs to enjoy and the staff is always awesome about it and so friendly! They do have outdoor pet-friendly seating too.

Cute local dog store!
Auntie A's BarkeryWe stopped in with our 2 dogs while on a trip and the owners were very friendly! They interacted with our dogs and even gave them a treat. We got a couple bandanas and treats for the pups. They had stickers, magnets and shirts with the art from local artists so we got some stickers and a magnet too. We will visit again when we pass through the area next!
