Unsafe and disgusting

We booked this room because we were passing through with our dog and they accepted big dogs. We saw the mixed reviews but decided to give them a chance. I do not ask for much when just booking a room for one night. I do not need new rooms or fancy amenities but cleanliness is expected. We couldn’t stay more than 20 minutes. It was unsafe. There was clear drug activity in the parking lot and the outside doors to the hotel did not lock. The inside of the room had mold on the wall under the wall paper border, toilet paper remnants on the bathroom floor from someone wiping, and what appeared to be blood on the wall in the bathroom. The straw that broke the camels back was the stains on the sheets.

Great Clean Hotel

This hotel met our needs perfectly for the overnight stay. There is a nice grass area with poop bags and the dog rooms have vinyl floors. Beds also have washable sheets over duvet covers so I knew my dog wasn’t smelling another dog on the bed spreads that don’t get washed. Adequate breakfast to fill you up for the road or an IHOP within walking distance if you choose. There is also a restaurant/bar attached so you don’t have to drive anywhere once you arrive. If you are a pool person, I can not speak for that as we did not use the pool.

Great budget friendly location!

We travel cross country with our dog and try to stay in budget friendly hotels since we are only staying overnight and then hitting the road in the morning. We were not concerned with amenities. (If you look at the map, don’t be fooled, there is no lake across the street, it is dried up and the pool is not filled.) Our most important qualities are cleanliness and unfortunately it seems like that is sometimes sacrificed in motels in this price range. Not with this motel. The staff took pride in their jobs and it was evident because the room was spotless. The decor was a little dated, but again, that was not important to us. It was important to us that we could leave our dog in the room to go out to dinner and this motel offered that too. Lastly, as a bonus, they serve a continental breakfast with pretty good coffee.
