Easy to find, clean, friendly
La Quinta by Wyndham VicksburgThe nice folks at this La Quinta always have a first floor room ready for us. There is enough room to walk the dog right outside the door. The rooms are clean and up to date. Great shower pressure, refrigerator and microwave. We didn’t stay for breakfast but it looked pretty good.
Basic, clean accommodations
Green Bird InnThe basic rooms are clean & right off the highway. There is a small area for dog walking on the property and a quiet town for longer walks. Great Italian restaurant in town!
Stay here when in Salina
Candlewood Suites Salina an IHG HotelWe were given a first floor room, making it easy to load and unload all our dog stuff. Nice area for walking the dog. Clean, updated room with a very comfortable room. The in room kitchen was a huge plus. We will stay here again.
Very Dog Friendly and People Friendly, too!
The Pines CottagesCottage #5 was quiet and comfortable. Beautiful lawn and gardens gave our pup plenty to explore on walks. Our reason for visiting was to see the Grove Park Inn, which is nearby. We highly recommend this spot—even if I didn’t have a dog with us.
Friendly, clean and newly renovated
Residence Inn Shreveport AirportPerfect spot. Right off the highway. Comfy beds with the best pillows. Next door to Orlando’s restaurant. Go for the gumbo and stuffed shrimp!
Not good. Not recommended.
Holiday Inn Express & Suites West an IHG HotelThe pet fee is $50 in addition to the nightly rate. That would not be a problem if the room and facilities were nicer. The door latch to our room was broken. There were big chips out of the bathtub that looked like bugs were crawling in it. The sink was cracked. The carpet was worn out and dirty. The Kourrig coffee maker had one pod. I had to ask for more and was given one single pod.
Clean, Comfortable, Friendly
The Cozy InnThis inn is perfect for dogs and their owners. The inn keeper gave us excellent advice on places to go and included a list of dog-friendly attractions, tours and restaurants. Although there’s a fee for the dog (prorated according to weight), the rooms, the welcome, and the
grounds make the fee well worth it. We highly recommend the Cozy Inn.
