Traveling with an adorable 12lb chihuahua mix. She's nervous but not yappy.

Outdoor seating only
Elkton Brewing CompanyPups are allowed on their outdoor patio which was large and had high top, low top and couch like seating. Visited Memorial Day weekend and there was a car show going on and there were 2 food trucks. The inside was pretty and the beer was tasty. Docked a bone because dogs are not allowed inside despite not having a kitchen.
Steep and Rocky but a great view
Rose River FallsYou might want to consult a ranger before selecting your hike. We did the Rose River Falls hike which was noted as moderate. There was what felt like a never ending incline which was all rock scramble. A couple warned up and told me I would need to carry my dog. Luckily my pup is 11 lbs, has nimble little paws and did it with ease but it could be hard for non-rock savy pups.
Many Dog Friendly Hikes to Choose From
Shenandoah National ParkWent here for Memorial Day Weekend. Stayed in Mathew's Arm which was a well kept campground with most sites having plenty of threes for shade. Cute boutique hotel
Hotel Revival BaltimoreHotel Revival is dog friendly and does not charge that extra pet fee that most hotels do. This is a huge plus for me as my pup is small, doesn't chew on things, doesn't like to get her paws dirty so she's pretty clean, potty trained and has minimal shedding. You can hardly tell I had a dog with me so the hotels who charge the extra $75-$100 for her is out of the question. This hotel is super cute, gave us poop bags and an door tag that said there is a pup in the room at check in.
I chose this hotel over a few others because someone commented on this site that there was a park across the street which was clutch since my pup needs grass to go to the bathroom and I felt comfortable taking her by myself too. Their small gift shop is has items for local businesses. Pretty sure they were black owned or women owned too which is awesome. When making my rez, I requested to be away from the elevator or high traffic areas and they put us at the end of the hall which is nice because my dog gets nervous hearing lots of movement in the hall.
The rooms much be pretty close to sound proof because she didn't get growly at all from people outside the room. Their lobby had a counter during the day to get drinks which we drank in the lobby sitting area which is nice for us not wanting to be stuck in the room with my dog the whole trip. Everyone was so nice and friendly. I live in Philly and this will be my go-to hotel in Baltimore and will tell everyone I know that I recommend this hotel.
Dog friendly with indoor seating
Checkerspot Brewing CompanyThis brewery is two stories and dogs are allowed to sit inside on the first floor. This was clutch going in December when it was raining. Everywhere else that I found online that said dog friendly was almost all outdoor seating which wouldn't have been great for the weather. There were lots of other pups there and everyone seemed to be behaved and stay to themselves. There are a mixture of high top and low top tables. Everyone with a pup seemed to grab the low top tables which is always preferred for me because my pup gets nervous on the ground when we sit at a high top. There was plenty of parking across the street. This place also has a small food menu and games. This will be on my list of places to hit up next time visiting Baltimore.
