Nice, small
Pensacola Beach West Dog ParkThe beach is nice but its a small area and dogs stay on leash. Great if you just want to get out to the beach with your dog but not for running & playing.
Nice Waterfall & Hike
Falling Waters State ParkDogs on leash are allowed on the trails, we enjoyed a nice stroll to view the falls and sinkholes
Hiking at the Springs
Ponce de Leon Springs State ParkDogs on leash are permitted on the hiking trails and to walk past the spring, not allowed in the swimming area. Pup can get close to the water by hiking out to view where the spring meets the creek. As in a lot of Florida parks, watch out for poison ivy along the side of trails.
Great Food & Dog Friendly
Flounders Chowder HouseThe founder chowder & triple layer key lime pie are delicious. Dogs are permitted on the patio area and welcomed with water dish. Bosse enjoyed watching the beach volleyball while the humans ate
Good Location
Super 8 by Wyndham Prattville MontgomeryGood location, nice green space. Nothing fancy, about what you’d expect from this level hotel.
Great Park
Edward Ball Wakulla Springs State ParkWe visited early & had the park practically to ourselves. Walked along the trail that starts near the Lodge…. We should have checked the trail map before we arrived, cell serivce was spotty & it took us a while to find the trailhead.
Great Park
USS Alabama Battleship Memorial ParkGreat park to wander around and see the planes & memorials. War Dog memorial was a nice touch for a dog activity day
