Excellent food, friendly service, dog friendly patio
Saratoga Bar & CafeWe ate here while in town on vacation on their patio, which had umbrellas and was in the shade during dinner. The service was very friendly and fast. Everything we ordered was great! Highly recommended.
Nice travel stop
Country Inn & Suites by Radisson Topeka West KSClean and comfortable rooms, friendly staff. Decent breakfast options, convenient to lots of shopping and dinner restaurants.
Nice travel stop
My Place Hotel - Indianapolis Airport/Plainfield InClean and comfortable rooms, friendly staff. Pre-delivered breakfast options made it convenient to eat without needing to make arrangements for our dog.
Decent travel stop
Motel 6 Big Springs NEClean and spacious room, friendly staff. Shower drain did not work well and it's a bit loud due to the truck stop traffic. There are no breakfast options beyond the truck stop next door (which did have Cinnabon but that's about it).
Perfect stop
The Highlander HotelVery nice hotel, friendly staff. Patio door to the courtyard was a plus for taking our dog outside. Great breakfast buffet!
Excellent food, nice covered patio
Margaritas JaliscoWe ate here while in town on vacation, with my family and dog. We ate outside on their covered patio and the service was very friendly and fast. Everything we ordered was great! Highly recommended.
Great food, friendly service, very dog friendly
Shamrock Brewing CompanyOn a hot day with very little shade on their front patio, they accommodated us by opening their upstairs covered patio and bringing cold water for our dog regularly. The service was friendly and fast, and everything we ordered was excellent!
Huge patio, great food, excellent service
White Water Bar & GrillVery dog friendly. Dog menu has several items on it, both dinner and treats. The patio is huge, very shady, and partially covered.
Unique menu offerings, excellent food, spacious patio
Lazy Dog Restaurant & BarWe ate here while in town on vacation, with my family and dog. We ate outside on their spacious patio. It would be nice if the patio were covered, but there are some umbrellas available. Everything we ordered was fantastic and the portions were very generous. We even ordered our dog a Grilled Hamburger Bowl from the dog menu. We'd definitely eat here again.
Spacious dog-friendly deck, excellent food
Another Round Sports Bar and GrillWe ate here while passing through on vacation, with my family and dog. Their deck is spacious with a great view of the golf course. We ordered the Salmon Fillet, Off the Hook Walleye, Perfect Burger w/Mac & Cheese, and Ribeye, and everything was fantastic with friendly and attentive service. There is also a grassy area adjacent to deck (easily accessible). Highly recommend!
Spacious dog-friendly deck, great food
Treehouse Pub & EateryWe ate here while passing through on vacation, with my family and dog. Their deck is spacious and shady, and very comfortable - the humans get patio furniture and the dogs get outdoor carpeting to lie on. Note that there is a grassy area next to the restaurant, but I don't recommend taking your dog there, as it's full of trash and broken glass. We ordered the Maple Tree Bacon Pizza, Buttermilk Chicken Sandwich, Bacon Explosion Burger, and Hawaiian Burger, and everything was great.
Nice shop for local dog treats
New England Dog Biscuit CompanyOur family stopped here while on vacation with our dog. Being a dog biscuit store, they of course allow pets inside, and everyone was extremely friendly. Our dog loved the peanut butter treats made by the company!
Nice local dog shop with locally-made treats
Bark HarborOur family stopped here while on vacation with our husky. They of course allow pets inside, and everyone was extremely friendly. Our dog loved the locally-made peanut butter treats that we picked up.
Nice park for dog walking
Salem CommonMy husband took our dog to this park while my kids and I visited a nearby museum. It is spacious with lots of green space and shady areas. He got to meet several other friendly dogs as well. A nice break for our dog from the paved city.
Nice view with dog-friendly patio
Frontenac Point Vineyard & Estate WineryOur family stopped here while on vacation - 2 adults, 2 teens, and our husky. Flights are available on the outdoor dog-friendly patio and there is a communal water bowl available. The wine was OK, not quite for us, but it was a nice place to relax for a short time and enjoy the scenery.
Friendly owner, dog-friendly patio
Shepherdess CellarsOur family stopped here while on vacation - 2 adults, 2 teens, and our husky. There are shaded tables out back that are dog-friendly, and the owner was extremely courteous. Throughout our wine tasting, he brought our dog treats and shared a little background on the winery. They also have craft sodas available, which our teens appreciated.
Nice dog-friendly patio area
Ithaca Ale HouseOur family stopped here while on vacation - 2 adults, 2 teens, and our dog. The spacious outdoor patio was dog-friendly and they offered us a water bowl. We ordered the Philly, fish & chips, one of their burgers (can't recall which one), and the Ale House grilled cheese with tomato soup. Everything, including the service, was good and we'd probably go back if in the area again.
Delicious ice cream, pet-friendly, shaded outdoor eating area
Cayuga Lake CreameryOur family stopped here while on vacation for ice cream, and everything was delicious! We even got the doggy sundae for our husky and he loved it. There are shaded tables on the grass down the hill which made it a nice place to stop after a morning of hiking.
Good BBQ options, dog-friendly patio
Nickel's Pit BBQOur family stopped here while on vacation - 2 adults, 2 teens, and our dog. The patio is spacious and dog-friendly. We were there during 4th of July weekend, which meant that our stated wait time was 90+ minutes (though we were seating in about half that). We ordered the brisket, pulled pork sandwiches, and some smoked wings. The service was great and the food was pretty good, solid BBQ options.
Spacious dog-friendly patio
Village TavernOur family stopped here while on vacation - 2 adults, 2 teens, and our dog. The large patio is spacious and dog-friendly, and they have a wide variety of items on the menu, though our server said that they no longer have a doggy menu. The service and food was good - we ordered the honey garlic shrimp, buffalo soldier flatbread, pepperoni flatbread, lobster roll, Bavarian pretzels, pub churros, and cast iron cookie sundae. We'd probably eat here again if in the area.
Nice dog-friendly patio with great food
Longboards Restaurant & BarOur family stopped here while on vacation - 2 adults, 2 teens, and our dog. There is a dog-friendly patio with some shade available and individual water bowls provided, and they have a doggy menu. The service was good and the food was excellent - we ordered the Essex (lobster) flatbread pizza, chicken & cheese quesadilla, black & blue burger, and "bacon bits & cheese platter" for our dog (which came on a souvenir frisbee). And though we had to wait a bit for a table at lunchtime, there were several charming shops nearby to pass the time.
Fantastic food, dog-friendly patio
Topside Grill & PubOur family stopped here while on vacation - 2 adults, 2 teens, and our dog. The patio is a bit cramped but is dog-friendly and they brought him a bowl of water right away. The service here was excellent and the food was outstanding. We ordered the oysters on the half shell, baked stuffed jumbo shrimp, a shrimp & spinach pasta dish, chicken parmesan, and cod. We'd definitely return here if we're in the area again!
Amazing food, dog-friendly patio
Mason's Brewing Co.Our family stopped here while on vacation - 2 adults, 2 teens, and our husky. There is a large spacious covered patio that is dog-friendly, along some grass and overlooking the river. They brought water and even took pictures of our pup for their Instagram page. The service was excellent and the food was outstanding - some of the best we had on our vacation. We ordered the Drunk Dog 2022, The Best Damn Pepperoni Pie, Sweetest Mess Burger, and King's Cupboard Philly. We'd eat here again in a heartbeat if we are ever in the area again!
Excellent food, dog-friendly patio
Paddy's Irish PubOur family stopped here while on vacation - 2 adults, 2 teens, and our husky. Their patio is large and dog-friendly and you get a nice view of the harbor. The service was great and the food was excellent all-around. We ordered the lobster bisque, chicken Caesar salad, short rib, steak frites, hot corned beef sandwich, Guinness chocolate stout cake, blueberry pie, Irish bread pudding, and maple bourbon crème brulee. Everything was delicious and we'd definitely eat here again when in the area.
Nice family restaurant with dog-friendly patio
The Bluebird Ranch Family RestaurantOur family stopped here while driving up the Maine coast on vacation - 2 adults, 2 teens, and our husky. There is a patio outside with limited shade (table umbrellas only), but it is dog-friendly. The food was excellent and the service was friendly. There were a ton of delicious-looking pastries and desserts inside, but we didn't try any of them. We did order the Crispy Chicken Sandwich, Classic Reuben, and Pine Tree Philly. The Philly wasn't fantastic, but everything else was delicious and we'd definitely stop here again if in the area.
Good food, covered dog-friendly patio
CherrySTONESOur family stopped here while on vacation - 2 adults, 2 teens, and our husky. Their patio is covered, spacious, and dog-friendly, and they brought us a water bowl right away. We were also able to order a plain, non-seasoned burger for our dog. The service was great and the food was mostly fantastic. We ordered the Lobster, Lobster Ravioli, Half Chicken, and Fish & Chips. The lobster was cold and wasn't the greatest we'd had in the area, but everything else was delicious. The lobster ravioli in particular was amazing - stuffed full of meat with more meat in the sauce. We'd eat here again, but might not get the lobster dinner.
Excellent food, nice shaded dog-friendly patio
Ruth and Wimpy'sOur family stopped here while on vacation - 2 adults, 2 teens, and our husky. We liked it so much that we came back a week later at the end of our trip to eat here again! They have a nice enclosed & covered patio that is dog-friendly and they brought a lobster bucket filled with water right away. We were also able to order a plain, non-seasoned burger for him. During our 2 visits, we ordered the lobster, sautéed lobster claw dinner, lobster tails, garlic steak alfredo, honey garlic salmon, macaroni & cheese, blueberry pie, mini key lime cake, mini raspberry lemon drop cake, bread pudding, and death by chocolate cake. The service was friendly and everything was excellent - though the mini cakes are not made in-house and were not as good as the other desserts. I highly recommend a stop here and we'd definitely come back if we're ever in the area again.
Excellent food, dog-friendly patio
Halvorson's Upstreet CafeOur family stopped here while on vacation - 2 adults, 2 teens, and our husky. Most of Burlington seemed to be dog-friendly and this was no exception. Their patio was spacious and they brought a bowl of water right away. We were also able to order a plain, non-seasoned burger for him. We ordered the smoked gouda spinach & artichoke dip, classic burger, chicken & waffles, and café steak. The dip was outstanding and the rest of the food was excellent as well. It looks like a standard bar & grill from the outside, but the food is high-quality and the service was pleasant. We'd definitely eat here again!
Spacious dog-friendly patio
Vermont Pub and BreweryOur family stopped here while on vacation - 2 adults, 2 teens, and our husky. Their patio is spacious and dog-friendly and a water bowl was offered. We ordered the burly cheese dip with pretzel bites, fried pickle chips, burly macaroni & cheese w/bacon, fish sandwich, and the toad in the hole. The service was great and the food was pretty good - nothing spectacular, but not terrible either.
Excellent food, dog-friendly patio
SeaSaltWe stopped here on a whim while on vacation and looking for a lunch place in Montreal. The original place we planned on had no shade on a blazing hot day, so we tried SeaSalt and are so glad we did! Their large patio had some shade available, is dog-friendly, and they even brought our boy a large treat. We ordered the shrimp tacos, cheeseburger, red snapper, a side salad, and fries. Everything was delicious and the service was impeccable. We'd definitely eat here again!
Excellent food, dog-friendly patio
SoCal KitchenOur family stopped here while on vacation - 2 adults, 2 teens, and our husky. Their patio is spacious and dog-friendly and a water bowl was offered. We ordered the Chicken & Mint Wrap, Green Cavatelli Pasta, Grilled Walleye, and the Short Rib. Everything was fantastic. We would not hesitate to come back here.
Amazing food, dog-friendly patio
The Old South Village PubOur family stopped here while travelling home from vacation, with 2 adults, 2 teens, and our husky. Their dog-friendly patio is large and shaded toward the side/back. A water bowl was offered and we were able to order a plain, non-seasoned burger for our dog. We ordered the Apple Walnut Salad, Moroccan Bowl, and Tostada Bowl. Everything was fresh and delicious, and the service was excellent (and fast!). We would absolutely eat here again if in the area.
Great location, nice room
The Salem InnMy family of 4 plus our husky stayed here for 2 nights to explore the city. The location was perfect, very close to shopping and restaurants. The room was very comfortable and they provided one dog bowl, a small bed, and a couple large dog biscuits for our furry pal. The shower is fantastic, easily one of the best hotel showers I've ever used. Having use of the kitchen/fridge was perfect, as we were travelling between multiple cities for a couple weeks and had some food to store. The included breakfast was definitely a plus, so we didn't need to find restaurants or do any cooking. However, there are only 3 (2-person) dog-friendly tables available, and they are around the side of the building and aren't guaranteed (plus, you aren't allowed to take the food back to your room) We lucked out on both mornings and didn't have anyone else there (because we needed 2 tables for all of us), but if you go during a busier time, it might be an issue. Overall, definitely recommended.
Excellent pizza, nice patio area
Rappahannock Pizza Kitchen (RPK)We stopped in for pizza one night while vacationing nearby. The pizza was excellent - a nice, chewy crust and plentiful toppings. There are multiple picnic tables here, and plenty of grassy areas for dogs to lay down in. We struck up a conversation with another family with a dog, who lives in the area and eats here regularly, which is always a good sign. Highly recommended!
NEW NAME: MIRANDA'S
Madison InnWe found this restaurant while looking for the Madison Inn, which was advertised on the nearby freeway at this address, so the restaurant has changed names. But, we were very pleased and would recommend it if you're looking for a variety of comfort foods and outdoor seating. We ate outside on the patio, which is all cement, but fairly shady and comfortable for our dog, even in the July heat. The food was all very good and the staff was pleasant.
Fresh-made food, nice outdoor seating areas
Before & AfterWe stopped here for coffee and breakfast one morning on our way into Shenandoah National Park, and couldn't have been more pleased with it. The staff is very friendly, the hot food is all fresh-made to order, and the coffee is delicious. There are tables inside as well as outside (both on a porch as well as near a creek), and all of the outside tables are in or near grassy areas, so there is plenty of room for dogs to lie comfortably.
Excellent food, nice dog-friendly outdoor seating area
Sperryville Trading Cafe and MarketWe stopped here for breakfast twice during a recent vacation to the Shenandoah National Park area. The staff is extremely pleasant and the food is very good with large portions. There are tables inside as well as outside, and pets are welcome at the outside tables, which are on a wooden deck and much of it is shaded, so it's quite comfortable for dogs. We ordered the Pancakes, French Toast, and Biscuits & Gravy - all of it was excellent. They also has a selection of local beer, wine, jams, etc. so it was a nice way to pick up a few souvenirs at the same time. Highly recommended!
NEW NAME: JENNY LYND'S PIZZA
Jenny Lynd's PizzaThis is the right address/phone, but it's now open under a new name & owner. We ate here one night while looking for a casual takeout pizza place. There are several tables inside and a few small tables outside. We ate outside, as we had our dog with us, and the owner was very accommodating - bringing our food and extra napkins outside to us and telling us some of the must-do sights in the area. The pizza itself was very good; the crust is excellent and they shred their cheese fresh on-site. We highly recommend this restaurant and we'd definitely eat here again if we're in the area.
Good sandwiches, dog-friendly patio
Deli ItalianoWe stopped here for lunch one day after visiting Great Falls Park. There are lots of tables outside where pets are welcome, though it is not covered and it was hot when we were there. We ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo, Grilled Chicken Basil Sub, Italiano Sandwich, and Steak & Cheese Sub. The subs are very large and and filling and everything was excellent!
Excellent food & beer, dog-friendly patio
Sedona TaphouseWe stopped here while in town vacationing. We had eaten at a location near us, so we knew the food would be good and they have an outdoor patio that is dog-friendly. Though there is no outside access to the patio, they let us walk our husky through the restaurant to reach the patio tables. The patio is all paved and only about half of it was shaded when we were there, but our dog was able to make himself comfortable and the staff kept us supplied with cold water for him. We ordered the Wild Man Filet, Crab Stuffed Shrimp, and Filet Mignon for dinner and the Salted Caramel Cheesecake, Brownie Sundae, and Lemon Cake for dessert. Everything was delicious as expected, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!
Great food, dog-friendly patio
Burtons GrillWe found this restaurant while looking for an outdoor patio, as we were vacationing with our dog. The staff was friendly and accommodating and we really enjoyed eating here. There are 2 patio areas; dogs are welcomed in both and much of it is covered and shaded. Lots of employees came out to greet our dog and they kept us supplied with water for him. We ordered the Filet Mignon with Mashed Potatoes, Grilled Haddock Sandwich with Mac & Cheese, Simply Prepared Haddock & Rice, and a Fish/Shrimp/Clam Platter (one of the daily specials). We also ordered Chocolate Cake, Key Lime Pie, Bread Pudding, and Crème Brule for dessert. Everything was very good and we would definitely eat here again.
Excellent food, very dog-friendly patio
Art and SoulWe ate dinner here after a long day of sightseeing in downtown Washington DC. We were looking for a restaurant with a patio as we had our dog with us - not only are dogs welcome, but they even have a menu for them! The staff was very friendly and efficient, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We started with the House Made Breads & Butter, then ordered Shrimp & Grits, Fusilli, Maple Brined Smoked Pork Chop, and Salmon. Our dog had the Peanut Butter Banana Pupsicles (which he loved). All of the food was excellent and visually appealing. Overall, it was an excellent experience and we'd highly recommend it.
Fantastic food, dog-friendly patio
Mad LocalWe ate here one night while vacationing nearby and looking for restaurants with patios, as we had our dog with us. The patio area is paved, but shaded, and pets are welcomed. This was easily some of the best food we had in the area, and the staff was very pleasant. We started with the Smoked Gouda Pimento Cheese & Flatbread, and then ordered the CW (Chicken, Pancake Battered Sweet Potato Waffle Fries, Maple Bourbon Syrup), Firebird Chicken Sandwich, Good Morning Burger, and Pork N Mac Sandwich. Everything was excellent and the portions were huge; we took home enough to have lunch the next day too. Highly recommended!
Great homemade ice cream!
Bruster's Ice CreamWe stopped here while vacationing nearby; the ice cream is VERY good and the staff is very pleasant. They even have complimentary pup cups for dogs!
Good food, small but dog-friendly patio
Grill 309We found this restaurant while looking for an outdoor patio, as we were vacationing with our dog. The staff was friendly and accommodating; they even brought water dishes and bacon for all of the dogs that were on the patio. We started with the Spinach & Artichoke Dip w/Fried Pita Bread, and then ordered the Beer Cheese Chicken Sandwich on a Pretzel Bun (very large), Chicken Pita Sandwich (fairly small), and BBQ Burger (normal size). The one negative about the patio is that it's right out front on a street corner where several people stood at to smoke, but otherwise it was a nice place to relax.
Excellent food, large dog-friendly patio
Pave Mint Smokin' TaphouseWe stopped here after a long day of hiking in Shenandoah National Park, and were looking for someplace with a patio since we had our dog with us. The patio had comfortable seating and some shaded areas, and there is a HUGE beer menu to choose from. The patio area is very large, with grassy areas nearby, so it was comfortable for our husky. We started with the Pretzel & Beer Cheese (save any extra cheese for your fries later!), and then ordered the Pulled Pork Sandwich & Fries, PM Burger with Mac & Beer Cheese, Vino B Burger, and Birria Tacos. The portions were huge and the food was all delicious. Highly recommended!
Wonderful food, relaxing outdoor location
Off the GridWe stopped here for lunch after getting a recommendation from a local family we met at another restaurant. It did not disappoint! The tables out back are shaded and near a lovely river, so it's a nice place to stop just for a change of pace. We ordered the Fig Chicken Sandwich, Smoked Salmon Sandwich, Pork Burrito, and Cheese Quesadilla. All of it was excellent and the staff was very friendly; we would definitely eat here again. And because the tables are in a large grassy area, it is quite comfortable for dogs.
