Devil's Lake State Park Dog-friendly Devil's Lake State Park is located in the Baraboo Range in eastern Sauk County, just south of Baraboo, WI. The recreation space welcomes leashed dogs to explore with their owners year-round. During your visit, plan a hike along Devil’s Lake via the West Bluff Trail. The recreation site is considered the state's most complete park, offering 468 campsites, 20 miles of trails, a lighthouse and 8 miles of Door County shoreline. Elroy-Sparta State Trail The Elroy Sparta State Trail is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization that is working to create a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and connecting corridors. Previously an unused railroad corridor, this dog-friendly "rail-trail" is now a great place to walk Fido in Sparta! The map below shows a trailhead where you can pick up the Elroy Sparta State Trail. Kaukauna Dog Park The 13-acre Kaukauna Dog Park, located in Kaukauna, WI, contains three separate grassy areas. There is a fenced-in small dog area, a very large fenced-in area for all dogs and a fenced-in pond where dogs can swim. You can also check out the walking trail around the perimeter of the pond, which includes two bridges built by local Boy Scouts. The park is well-lit after dark and there are soda machines available for thirsty dog owners. See Details
Whitefish Dunes State Park Pet-friendly Whitefish Dunes State Park, located in Sturgeon Bay, WI, welcomes leashed pets to enjoy a section of the beach with their humans. The pet beach access is about a 0.75-mile walk from the parking lot. To reach this area, walk your pet from the parking area down the Red Trail and then onto the beach. Dogs must be on a leash no longer than eight feet at all times. A state park vehicle admission sticker is required for entrance to the park. Pets are not allowed on the section of the beach from the nature center to the third beach access from April 1 to November 1. See Details
