Bring water! Nice trails and some steep hills. My dogs got a ton of exercise and exposure to a train going past. Lots of great socialization experience!
Park at visitor center and proceed down hill towards mound and before the mound take right along the row for a walk to the bench. Return over bridge and hit the doggy friendly water fountain and dump your dogs waste in the designated bin. great shady spots to sit or just get back on the road. total 30 min off and back onto 16!!!
This is only about an hour from the house. It is totally worth the drive. I’ve got a Great Pyrenees and he did great walking around the park. There were plenty of places to rest & also stations with poop bags and trash cans. Can’t wait to go back!
Fun stop off I 16. They have poop bag stations at multiple places. A few trails to go hike on. They also participate in the B.A.R.K Ranger program. Pick up an activity book at the visitor center and earn a tag.
