Welcome to Surrey Family Home, proudly hosted by Cosmo Homes.
Our historic 1934 Californian Bungalow offers a retreat for discerning guests in the heart of Kennington, Bendigo. With two bedrooms, this elegant residence is tailored to accommodate a variety of travellers, from family vacations to intimate escapes or productive work-away stays. With a pet-friendly policy, we ensure that every member of your household can enjoy the comforts of this home.
The Space:
Our cozy bungalow features two bedrooms and one bathroom, making it an ideal retreat for a group of four. Each of the two bedrooms has a comfortable queen bed dressed in soft linen sheets. Ample storage is provided with large wardrobes featuring vanity mirrors, bedside tables, lamps, and coat hangers for a neat and organised stay.
The modern kitchen is fully equipped with cookware and modern appliances. Find all the necessary features to whip up delectable meals for your family, including a dishwasher, coffee machine, and gas stove. Complimentary tea and coffee are provided to make your stay even more enjoyable.
Step into the warm, inviting ambience of the living space, designed with a gas log fire, perfect for snuggling up on chilly evenings. Plush lounge seating sits across from the TV, offering plenty of entertainment options. The privacy blinds in every room ensure a tranquil atmosphere, while high ceiling fans keep you cool in warmer weather. For year-round comfort, the house is equipped with central heating and cooling.
Enjoy the outdoors with our inviting seating areas, perfect for soaking up the sun or unwinding in the evening breeze. The stunning landscaping will take your breath away as you lounge under the shaded gazebo. Please be aware that while our spacious backyard is ideal for larger pets, it may not be suitable for smaller dogs due to the gate configuration.
Stay connected with complimentary WiFi, and find the password on the fridge. Extra pillows and blankets are available upon request if you desire extra comfort.
Guest Access:
Outdoor gardening shed is not permitted for use.
You have private access with a lockbox code. Base price is for two people (1 room). Access will only be provided to rooms that are booked and paid for. If cleaners find that unpaid beds were used, an extra cleaning fee will be incurred. Please choose the number of guests when checking availability/pricing.

There is 1 bathroom and 2 toilets available. The second toilet is to the left of the back door at the back patio.

Surrey Family Home is located in the charming suburb of Kennington. Find nearby local attractions like Coffe Co., where you can grab a delicious coffee to start your day. If you want to cook at home, a conveniently located Coles is just 700m away.
Take a quick five-minute drive into Bendigo's thriving town centre. You can check out the Bendigo Art Gallery or the Golden Dragon Museum to engage with the local art scene and learn more about the area's history. While there, explore the well-kept grounds at Rosalind Park and the Yi Yuan Gardens. Remember to stop by the Conservatory and Fernery.
If you need help deciding where to eat in town, don't worry - plenty of fantastic dining options are available. Some local favourites include Ghosty's Diner, Sim'r, and Oishii on Wheels. If you're looking for a nice dinner, consider making a reservation at The Dispensary or Masons of Bendigo.
For those seeking nightlife, head to The Deck Bendigo for delicious drinks with panoramic views. Across the street, Babylon Lounge & Garden Bar offers drinks and dancing.
Getting Around:
Bus route 61 is available at McIvor Hwy & Murphy St, located 350m away.

Welcome to Cosmo! We kindly request your compliance with our policies and instructions. As property managers acting on behalf of the home owner, we have to protect the best interests of everyone involved. This commitment requires us to uphold stringent standards. Your understanding and cooperation in adhering to our policies are greatly appreciated.
Our team reserves the right to cancel bookings and charge for damages or losses caused by guests. If you anticipate any difficulties complying with our policies, please inform us prior to your arrival.
Please keep all communication within your booking platform (e.g., Airbnb, Vrbo) to ensure efficiency. We also offer text and phone support for emergencies.
1) Prohibited Activities
Smoking inside is strictly forbidden. Please dispose of cigarette butts appropriately to avoid extra cleaning fees.
Parties are not permitted. Pre-approval is required for all events, functions or additional visitors. Breaching this rule may incur extra charges.
Kindly refrain from excessive noise at all times, particularly during quiet hours (23:00 – 08:00).
2) Pets
Pets are welcomed at our designated Pet-Friendly properties with prior approval. An additional pet fee will be charged for cleaning purposes, unless otherwise stated.
3) Departure
We kindly request you to:
Return all used cookware, cutlery and utensils to their original spots.
Remove all personal items, including those in the fridge.
Sort waste appropriately for collection (we will provide the schedule).
Secure all windows and doors, switch off lights, and leave keys where found. A fee may be charged for lost keys or lockout, or if the property is left unsecured.
Leave the property in a tidy state.
Please note, we cannot assume responsibility for lost items or belongings left behind. Additional cleaning fees may apply if the property is left untidy.
4) Cancellations and Alterations
Full refunds on cancellations are only available within our designated cancellation period, and are subject to the terms of your booking platform (e.g., Airbnb, Vrbo).
For alterations like shortening your stay, early check-ins, or late check-outs, please request prior to your arrival. Please note, these may be limited during peak periods.
Shortening your stay may result in only partial refunds, and rebooking during busy periods might incur additional charges.
We regretfully cannot facilitate same-day check-ins after 15:00. Fees for early check-ins and late check-outs may apply, subject to availability.
5) Damages, Breakages and Losses
All damage or breakage must be reported to Cosmo immediately.
Removing or relocating property contents without approval is not permitted. Non-compliance may result in a damage fee.
6) Housekeeping
Please promptly report any cleaning issues upon arrival via your booking platform with photographs. We will endeavour to resolve these as soon as possible.
Use only the beds that have been paid for. Using additional beds will incur an extra cleaning fee.
