This photo was taken at Cha Bella in Savannah, GA. Located just within the outermost boundary of Savannah Pedicab’s cycling limit, Cha Bella’s location offers its patrons a slightly different feel than many of the restaurants that are situated closer to City Market. It’s as if you can breathe a little calmer and talk a little slower, as they so like to do here in the South. The especially tall fence surrounding the patio augments this illusion, blocking out not just the outside world but the cares of your day, too. While the restaurant offers indoor seating as well, the warmly-lit patio is a truly enchanting space...with many covered tables and at least one under the stars, too. Music such as “Who Will Comfort Me” by Melody Gardot, or the occasional female French singer plays, while surfing scenes from “The Endless Summer” project on the building’s outer wall. Call it quirky or call it romantic—the end result is an ambience where you can comfortably be yourself or make-believe someone else, wear boots or stilettos, enjoy the fruit of local farmers or fishermen, and —of course—bring your deservingly-spoiled pup to their patio!
