We brought our two pups and did the trail above the water and was able to see the slide from above with our dogs. It was May so I didn’t want to go in the water so it worked out. The walk is a short one but it was neat to see the slide and people riding it down.

This was a great place to walk with the pugs and stretch our legs. We got lucky and no one was there!

The drive to slide rock from flagstaff is gorgeous and enjoyable on its own. The park allows dogs but this is somewhat of a joke, you have to pay $20 to park and they tell you dogs can stay on the upper trail, this is only 1/8 of a mile trail if that! At the end it is roped off and clearly says no dogs past that point, this took us 5-10min to walk and we moved SLOW. Save some money and the headache by just parking a couple miles north of the park itself, you can walk to see the water in many places.

Leashed dogs will enjoy the trails available but they can not swim. This is a gorgeous park and worth lingering. Look up alternative access points for more landlocked adventures with your puppers.
- AnnaAug 26, 2018awful waste of time
An awful waste of time if you are planning to bring your dog. They claim dogs can enter, but seriously... you are spending $30 just to park your car, and then find out your dog has to be on a leash in the parking or on a short (3/8 mile) mediocre trail far away from the main attraction. Won't visit again and let friends/dog owners not to bother.

If you read the park rules it specifically states all pets must be kept on a leash and attended to at all times. Slide rock obviously allows Pets, just not in the swimming area for sanitary reasons.

I recently was at park and we were allowed to bring our dog into park BUT dogs are not allowed at the water slide area. This to me is completely understandable for sanitary reasons. Leashed dogs are allowed anywhere else in park with that one exception.
- SuzanneMore than a year agoAbsolutely beautiful
The park is breathtaking & of course the kids absolutely loved sliding down all the rocks. Water was surprisingly a bit chilly for July in AZ. It was a great contrast though to the heat of the 105 degree day.
