We had a great time taking Jasper into the French Quarter. We planned our entire trip to try and be in the city during quieter times, as we are not city people and all of us, our dog Jasper included, are introverts. Jasper had fun walking around and seeing the sights. We had him in the stroller the entire time which was helpful because it was hot and it was noisy. If your dog has difficulty with loud noises this might not be the best place to take your dog. Since Jasper was in the stroller we were able to take him into all the stores. We relaxed on the benches outside of Jackson Square and had a wonderful day!

Many quaint shops and architecture. Great spot for impulse buys, etc. Mikey enjoyed his time walking around. Many of the shops are pet-friendly (for little guys, at least)!

Our large dog didn’t care for the occasional base drum and the frenzied noise, but did enjoy walking some of the quieter areas beyond Jackson Park. Not the most dog friendly spaces but we were still treated nicely and some shops offered water bowls for passing dogs.

We had the street to ourselves during a weekday in January. Our black lab went everywhere with us. just remember to bring water for your pooch.

The carriage rides at Jackson Sq. are dog friendly at the discretion of the driver. We had a delightful tour with our Cavalier King Charles.

We brought our frenchies to New Orleans over the holidays, and they had a great time. I was surprised by the number of stores that allowed us to bring them in. And, of course, we had to stop by Cafe du Monde for some beignets. No problem. We just got a table on the outer edge of the patio, and the dogs were happy taking in the sights and sounds while we enjoyed our favorite New Orleans treat.

We love taking our Great Dane Moose to New Orleans. He always feels like a big shot walking through the French Quarter with some beads around his neck. Everyone always wants to take his picture.

There are so many interesting things to see here. The French Quarter is a nice place to explore with your dog. Bourbon St is very busy. I wouldn't suggest walking it with your pet unless you can carry it. People are friendly and seem to accept animals. I used this app to find dog friendly places. There are a few missing.
- NMore than a year agoa good time
This was fun glad out dog could go but it's very crowded so consider a stroller or carrier our pup almost got stepped on just because ppl didn't see her...other than that they really loved her and everyone was nice to her....avoid bourbon street it reeks of urine and alcohol other than that it was fabulous hit up the galleries and praline shops for sure!
