They offer 4 different trails. The nature trail was the shorter one. The dogs enjoyed walking and smelling but there wasn’t any creeks, waterfalls or areas they could do anything else. We didn’t hear any chimps, perhaps we didn’t take the right trail. They have a small water area that’s full of fishes that the dogs found intriguing.

We stopped to visit only because we found it on this app. So very glad we did. 💗 North Georgia between Blue Ridge and Blairsville - Project Chimps is a 250 acre sanctuary for former medical research chimps. They have 4 beautiful dog friendly hiking trails that range in length and difficulty. Wonderful volunteers and a great little gift shop. Highly recommend! 🤩

Very friendly staff who volunteer their time to take care of these amazing primates who are deserving of a more positive human interaction. The sanctuary is surrounded by great trails to walk with your furbabies. Large Koi pond… great experience can’t wait to visit again. The furbabies were exhausted from their nature hike… so much to do and they had a nice little gift shop….
