Drive-thru restaurants and chains with curbside service provide a quick and casual dining experience. Recognizing that our four-legged friends love car rides even more than we do, a few “pupular” spots go the extra mile by offering a secret menu for dogs. Save Fido’s kibble for later and treat him to a special snack delivered straight to his window at these pet-friendly eateries.
Restaurant Chains and Drive-Thrus With Secret Menus for Dogs

Lazy Dog
While it’s no secret that dogs are welcome to dine on the outdoor patio at Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar, you may not know that almost all of the chain’s locations across the U.S. also offer curbside pick-up as a takeout option. While you’re placing your online order for a delicious brunch, lunch or dinner for yourself, order your pup a balanced meal of brown rice and his choice of veggies, grilled chicken or a hamburger patty for just $5.
If you decide to dine on the patio with Fido this summer instead, BringFido users can get a FREE Dog Meal (beef, chicken, or veggie) for their furry friend with the purchase of any entrée using the offer code: FIDO. Just mention it to your server between now and August 30, 2024.
In-N-Out
In-N-Out Burger is well known for its (not-so) secret menu. It even has its own hashtag: #AnimalStyle! Customers regularly opt for the fully loaded items from this wild list. What you may not know is that In-N-Out has a menu designed for your actual animal, too. Drive up and let Fido dig into the canine special, the Pup Patty. Your dog will love this plain, salt-free burger patty as much as you love your In-N-Out.
Starbucks
Chances are, there’s a Starbucks drive-thru near you. Order Fido the off-menu item with the biggest canine cult following: the Starbucks Puppuccino. Baristas go through hours of intense training to get this one right. It involves taking the secret ingredient (whipped cream in a can) and masterfully twirling it into a little cup. And, as a bonus, this treat won’t add a single dollar to your Double Double Fudge Bar Frappuccino.
Dairy Queen
A little goes a long way when it comes to feeding dogs a human treat. Pull up for Dairy Queen’s Pup Cup, a dollop of their regular-sized serving of vanilla ice cream. It’s still enough to keep your pooch happy and doesn’t cost a dime.
Sonic Drive-In
Sonic is well known for its drive-in and drive-thru service. With the Sonic app, you can browse the menu, pay for your food and even select a pickup time remotely. The secret canine menu varies at each restaurant, but most will serve a whipped cream dessert, a small scoop of vanilla ice cream or even a pooch-friendly burger patty. Many even offer dog treats crumbled on top. Every item for four-legged customers is free.
Shake Shack
A crowd favorite that’s considered a cut above other burger chains, Shake Shack has long been known for its pet friendliness and delivers a serious contender for Fido’s favorite fast food. The Pooch-ini is a cup of custard mixed with Shackburger biscuits and a swirl of peanut butter. It’s so full of flavor that only large dogs are allowed to indulge in a whole one. Shake Shack will also sell you a Bag O’ Bones, five tasty beef and cheddar dog biscuits, to take home. Furry customers will need to save up around $4 for a Pooch-ini.
Sprinkles Pupcakes
At Sprinkles Cupcakes, you can pre-order for takeout online, via the app or by phone. While you’re deciding on your own cupcake flavors, put in a request for a Pupcake from the secret menu. The sugar-free baked treat is topped with yogurt frosting for healthy hounds. Pupcakes start at $3.
Tim Hortons
Tim Hortons is a popular Canadian doughnut and coffeehouse, and one of its most beloved menu items is the Timbits: bite-sized balls of deep-fried deliciousness. Tell the drive-thru attendant you’d like an order of Timbits for your dog and they’ll come without the added sugar on top. You can order a four-pack for just $2.
Culver’s
Culver’s has been serving up ButterBurgers and fresh frozen custard since 1984. Canines who rock up at the window of select stores can bag themselves a pooch-sized portion of the chain’s trademark fresh frozen custard topped with a MilkBone.
Bruster’s Real Ice Cream
You can’t take a family outing to Bruster's Real Ice Cream without bringing Fido along. Canine customers who roll through the drive-through or use the walk-up window can order their own Doggie Sundae. The small scoop of vanilla ice cream comes topped with a MilkBone and it’s free with your own ice cream purchase.
