Pet Friendly Dog Days of Summer
Dog Days of Summer Dogs share our love for water; why confine them indoors? Owners must ensure their dogs are leashed when not in the water, adept at swimming and courteous around unfamiliar people. Additionally, a life jacket for the pup is mandatory. Human guests will be charged family-style rates, while dogs will pay $9.99. The event will be held on July 10, July 24, Aug 7, and Aug 21. Sunbrella Hill is reserved for dog owners and their pets, with product samples and activities for both dogs and owners. Pooch Pool Party Let your pup cool off at this dog-friendly pool party featuring a special swim session just for dogs. Pups can splash in the pool, socialize with other dogs, and enjoy a fun end-of-summer activity. Soggy Doggy Bring Fido out to splash in the lake with other pups while enjoying other activities on the beach. Typically, dogs aren't permitted at the beach, but on this special occasion, you can bring your pup out to swim, play fetch and socialize with with all their canine friends! Pooches in Paradise Dog Swim at Boone Municipal Pool Grab Fido and a beach towel and head to the pool for this fun-filled annual event! Wag Your Tail Tuesdays

Wag Your Tail Tuesdays Bring Fido to the Bark in the Park, where he can enjoy the day for free with a donation to a local animal shelter. Acceptable donations include paper towels, treats, food and toys. This special event takes place at home on Tuesdays on the following dates: May 26, June 16, June 30, July 7, July 28 and August 11. There's also a Friday event on May 1 that welcomes pups. See Details
Fayetteville Woodpeckers Tail Waggin' Tuesday Bring Fido to Bark in The Park events during Fayetteville Woodpeckers home games! All dog owners must present updated vaccinations for their dog (Bordetella, DHPP, Rabies). The dates for 2026 include April 7 & 21, May 5 & 19, June 2, 16 & 23, July 28, August 11 & 25. See Details

Bark in the Park at Galena Dog Park Celebrate National Dog Day with Fido at the park! Pups will receive a toy and snack and get the chance to participate in paw print crafts. There will be music, pet-related vendors and food trucks on site. This event will be held rain or shine but will be canceled or postponed in the case of severe weather. See Details
Yappy Hour at Coldstream Park You and Fido are invited to join the Lexington Parks Department for an evening event filled with fun and exercise! The gathering will include food trucks, live music, cold beer, frozen treats, and a variety of dog-related vendors. See Details
National Dog Day at The Capital Wheel In honor of National Dog Day, Fido can ride the Ferris wheel for free with the purchase of adult admission. There's a limit of two dogs per human and all pups must be leashed. This is the only time of the year that the wheel welcomes furry friends. You'll enjoy panoramic views of the Washington DC skyline from the 180' wheel, inside a climate-controlled gondola.
