- HenryJun 6, 2024Good stay
Older hotel but can’t beat the price. Staff is very nice.
- RobertFeb 17, 2024Comfortable
Both humans and dog had a pleasant stay at this hotel in a quite neighborhood. The Rusty's raw bar across the street serves good food, and its outdoor patio apparently is dog friendly.
- JenniferOct 12, 2023Great stay
We enjoyed the hotel very much. It was clean. It’s an older building which was great. We couldn’t hear every word our neighbors said! Great nights sleep!
- RicardoAug 11, 2022Find another hotel
Staff doesn't care, rooms smells like cigarettes, Obnoxious guests, breakfast sucks. Stay away.
- TrishJul 26, 2022Very Pet Friendly
Great place to stay for long term requests, friendly staff, and accommodating service.
- JamesJun 14, 2022Great service, location
The staff there was very nice and accommodating and they served the continental breakfast.
- RosemaryMar 7, 2022Horrible Dog Poop Area and Room Cleanliness
The designated Dog waste area was full of "landmines" due to pet owners not picking up after their pets. It was obvious that no one at the hotel does any regular maintenance there either. The rooms are big but are in stages of disrepair with broken furniture and only a few small, uncomfortable pillows. Housekeeping does not do proper cleaning!!!!! There were old towels as well as long black hairs left in bathroom from previous guests! We decided against using the tub as it had not been cleaned either. It is obvious that their housekeepers are not monitored concerning the quality of their work. We had to request a roll of toilet paper since only a few sheets were left on the roll in the BR. The staff was the only redeeming part of this as all (but housekeeping who were very rude) were very nice and helpful. Yes, they are pet friendly and if you only plan to stay one night and can tolerate staying in a dirty room (another guest had gone through four rooms trying to get a clean room) this is an okay stay. If we come back this way we will definitely choose another property.
- LarryApr 19, 2021Great dog room
Located room right at side entrance very convenient.
- GinnyMar 27, 2021Worse than Motel 6
If you like a stuffy and moldy smell and cold shower book this place. The room smelled, the shower never got warm after running 5 minutes. The outside looks great but once inside the place is sad. I have stayed at many La Quinta’s and this was the worse. Read the reviews! At least they served a breakfast and were dog friendly but I would pass spending $200 a night at this place.
- ColleenMar 2, 2021King room first floor - older but nice
The hotel is a little older, but the room was large and very nice, plenty of space in the King room; room only had 2 towels (usually a King has 3), no coffee maker but did have microwave and fridge. Being on the first floor was nice. The pet relief area was fine, although a bit trashy ( some workers would spend the evening hanging out and leave trash). There are plenty of restaurants nearby and within a reasonable driving distance. The one across the street has nightly activities and live bands as well as good food. There are also dog beaches in the area. Hot coffee and wrapped muffins/bagels/etc were available for the breakfast. Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks are also within a mile. Staff was nice.
- HeatherFeb 28, 2021Ok stay
The hotel isn’t in the best shape.. rooms are dated and furniture is rickety had to change rooms because ac was broken and had exposed wires Happy that our pups were welcomed. The staff was kind.
- BarbFeb 2, 2021Great location
We chose this hotel because pets stay free and the location - close to friend who lives in town who we wanted to visit.
- SusanNov 16, 2020Clean and canine friendly
Didn’t use the designated pet area. It’s small for a big dog and it took a walk across the parking lot to get there. The hotel sits off the main busy street and there are good sidewalks for getting some exercise.
- EricJul 26, 2020nice and responsible priced
excellent
- MollyJun 21, 2020Dirty rooms for pets is ok I guess?
While the woman at the frost desk was sweet and very accommodating, I was not surprised by the fact this is still a la Quinta. The first and only king room left we got smelled terrible like a dirty cats litter box. I couldn’t even walk in for more than 30 seconds. The sweet front desk staff swapped our room to next door. A queen. Ok that’s fine. The bed was quite uncomfortable, the room still did t smell great, but oh well. No hair dryer in the room. Somewhat dirty and holes in the walls. They said breakfast was included. Never saw any food packs like we were told. Again ok. It’s sufficient for sleep, but it’s just simply ok.
- MelissaApr 30, 2020Great Place To Stay
From the phone call to make the same day reservation, to check in, to when we returned at 10pm from the beach, the staff (Rich) was wonderful. He was over the top friendly. Tyson got some good grub from him. The room was really nice. He upgraded us to the jacuzzi room. No complaints here.
- MorganJan 1, 2020Clean And Nice Staff
We were pleasantly surprised with how clean and new this La Quinta was. Check-in was seamless and our two dogs were welcomed happily. Would definitely stay here again.
- AshleyDec 15, 2019Very dog friendly
Dogs are allowed in all rooms, rooms were big, clean, and comfy. Located close to the highway for easy access!
- TomNov 30, 2019Excellent
The room was large, clean, and nicely appointed. The staff was very nice.
- KathyNov 13, 2019Great Location
Clean, friendly and plenty of places for the woofs to use the bathroom outside.
- NancyNov 11, 2019A wonderful stay.
We were blessed. We have 3 dogs and because of a misunderstanding we booked a room thinking that "2+ dogs" as it was listed meant we would be ok to stay there. Well, turns out this particular LaQuinta is "2 dogs" not "2+ dogs". When we found out we were already on the road to Valdosta GA for the night and our cell tower signal was spotty on the back roads. Between Sara with BringFido and Rich with the LaQuinta we were able to stay the planned one night with our three girls.
When we checked in late Thursday night, Rich met us with a handful of dog treats and loved on our girls. This dog mama was blown away by the kindness that was shown. Everyone from the guests and employees there were so kind to us and our 3 girls. The whole purpose for our trip to Ft. Myers was to purchase a conversion van in Labelle, FL. We desperately needed a comfy vehicle because we travel with our girls. Because of Sara and Rich.....we were able to stay and make it to Labelle Friday morning. We got the van.
- Anna-leighSep 30, 2019Noisy neighbors and one rude desk person
The hotel and most of the staff were really exceptional , but there was the late shift front desk person (dyed red hair & meth mouth) who was friendly until I made a comment about the people partying in the room next door. They were very loud until around 2:30 or 3:00 am.
When I mentioned that I was not able to sleep, she all but called me a liar and said I was wrong, and that she had been there, and they weren’t being noisy 😩 That explains why at the time when I went to the front desk to ask if I could maybe change rooms.... nobody was there. I believe she may have been partying with them and that’s why she was angry and defensive. Other than that, all was well with my dogs. They were offered treats upon arrival, and there’s an outdoor area with poo bags provided for the pets to relieve themselves. PS their complimentary apples were great. - LilySep 16, 2019Great Location
Very friendly Front Desk. The rooms are clean and spacious with everything in it you need. Great breakfast too.
