    The flies!

There are an abundance of flies here and the food was covered in them. We ate here in the first day of our vacation and my husband got food poisoning and it ruined his whole trip. Do not eat here. I wrote to management and told them what happened and I didn’t hear anything back. He got the double meat bacon burger.
He was the only one that ate meat. The rest of the food was so-so but I would never recommend this place.

Great Atmosphere, Food & Service…so so

Food looked amazing but didn’t really have that much flavor. Staff was friendly but not very attentive nor were we offered a bowl of water for our pup.

    Great Location

The large back patio offered lots of shade on a hot day. We enjoyed our cocktails and well prepared food. Our waiter provided great service and water for our dog. Several other dogs there. We felt quite comfortable enjoying a relaxing casual dinner

    Perfect place

fuel is a really cute place to eat, as it’s a converted gas station off the Main Street. it was perfect for the dogs, as it had lots of outside seating, with heat lamps for the cooler weather. the outside area was also covered up. Fuel had a great beer selection and very good food. happen to be there for happy hour and 1/2 nacho platter and chicken wings was huge and hit the spot for a great price. perfect place for Fido!!

    The others are old reviews!

The other reviews are old! The menu on their website is NOT what they serve. We went for tacos, wings and the Black Bean Burger. They don't serve tacos nor black bean burgers nor wings!! They also don't serve several other items that THEIR business website menu shows (not a Google menu..it was on their website). The items they did have on the menu...they were OUT of! There was no pork, there was no salsa, there was no mayonnaise, there was no tea and there were no straws! They only allow you to leave 18% or higher tip on their tablet. I would of liked to leave 15% or less due to the fact that they also starred and made us uncomfortable. It was also $80 and the rice bowl was so bland that their was not even enough salt in their WET salt shaker to make it taste any better. It was horrible overpeiced food and not what we expected from the menu. I only gave two stars because they did give the dogs water even they starred like we shouldn't be there or have them there.

Great Atmosphere With So So Food

This place is super dog friendly, has a fun atmosphere and a great beer and cider list. Food was pretty mediocre. For example, the queso seemed like it came from a grocery store jar. Nevertheless, we and our dogs enjoyed it.

Wonderful outside area that’s shaded and has fans. They will bring your pup ice water to sip on and love on them. Very dog friendly!

Awesome job by Amy...... before we received our drinks she made sure the Schnauzer brothers had a huge bowl of cold water!

    The service was top notch!
Drinks from the bartender were spot on!

    Great patio!

Went in the early afternoon on a Sunday, our pups were very welcome, and there were several other dogs there as well, all were brought water when they arrived. Food was very good and I absolutely LOVED the Frozen Pain Reliever with a floater of rum on top, must try if you like a good drink!

    Not so welcome...

From all the reviews I thought this would be the perfect place to bring my pup for my first night in Charleston. I was so wrong! For a place that's supposed to be pet friendly, our small dog was not very welcome. All the servers and other customers looked at us sitting with our dog as if we were doing something wrong by having her in there. Along with the not so nice service, there are bugs everywhere! It's hard to enjoy your food when the bugs won't leave you alone. Also, the food wasn't very good either. Definitely won't be going back.

    Patio for pups

Our two mid-sized dogs were greeted warmly and given water. Hung out under the table while we enjoyed the atmosphere and our delicious dinner. Other dogs of various sizes there that evening.

Saw an add for Fuel in Southern Living and have had it on my list to try - had lunch there with my husband and our 2 yorkies - lots of people with their pets present - delicious food! Will definitely come back - lots on the menu I still want to try - really great patio to dine with your 4-legged friend -

Fabulous place to dine with your dog

We stopped in to have lunch at Fuel with our two Welsh Terriers while traveling through Charleston. After reading the reviews this sounded like THE lunch spot and it was! Really nice comfortable large patio on the rear with several fans to keep the space cool. The staff were friendly to our dogs and is too! I had the mahi mahi tacos with fried plantains, which were THE most delicious plantains I have ever had! The tacos were amazing! My husband had the chicken sandwich which was also amazing! Fresh food, great staff and a unique restaurant concept make Fuel a not to miss dining experience!

    Best outside courtyard for dogs

We ate here last month and the food was good. The staff was very friendly toward our dogs that we had with us and asked lots of questions about them. Had several guest ask questions about our dogs while there also. Water was brought out to the dogs quickly and the staff stop and talked and interacted with the dogs thru the lunch. We would return to this place. What stands out in our mind from other places we eat at with our dogs is their patio area. So far its the best we have been to since we started exploring restaurants that we are allowed to take our dogs too.

    Go here

We took our 5 month old pup there for his first restaurant outing and it was great here. We sat at the outside seating area where there were 3 other dogs and they all got along and played together. The wait staff brought out water and would pet the pups when they got a chance, our guy loves the attention. The food was incredible too, there was a bit of a wait, but it was also trivia night on Memorial day weekend so that's as to be expected. We will definitely be visiting here again.

    Loved it!!!

My husband and I, our 90 pound Great Pyrenees mix and our not quite two year old toddler gave Fuel a try after reading the awesome reviews on Bring Fido. We were SO HAPPY we did! Super cool place, great food and friendly service. They even brought our dog her own water bowl. She was so happy to sit at our table with us while we enjoyed lunch. We sat on the patio and there were other patrons with their dogs as well. Someone even had a rabbit! Haha! I saw a waitress bring the rabbit a carrot. Overall a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and super food! We recommend the Ho Cakes! Yum!

    This place is awesome!

Such a welcoming and awesome find. They really go out of their way to accommodate dogs and their people. Quicken tacos are the bomb and so are the ho cakes. Heaters on back patio make sitting outside enjoyable in the winter. Awesome to be able to interact with the locals and get other dog friendly tips for around town as well.
