Nice park
San Angelo Dog ParkNice clean park with separate areas for small and large dogs. Has a combination of grass and dirt. There are several obstacle course equipment items within the park which my small dogs took advantage of. There is also enough space for some ball catching as well. Highly recommend it.
Gorgeous Gage Garden
Gage GardensThis is a gorgeous lush garden with a pond, lots of green grass, a putting green, and a large open space for dogs to run. There is also a restroom and poop bags are available.
Good large dog park
Thompson Park Dog ParkThis park was extremely large, grassed, and had a lake. There was a separate area for small dogs but we did not use it as we were the only ones there on a Sunday morning. We got to play lots of ball and plenty of sniff time. There was some trash, like bottle caps and such like someone had a party and did not clean up, but it wasn't too bad. This park is right in the middle of a frisbee golf park. Would highly suggestvisiting it..
Nice green space dog park
Joe Station Dog ParkVery nice dog park with tons of green space. Has separate area for small dogs. Several shaded areas for seating and resting. Has water fountains and buckets of water. Our 2 small terriers had a blast playing fetch without being bothered by bigger dogs.
Nice park
Salvador Perez Dog ParkLarge multi-purpose park with lots of grassy areas, although most of the ground is lumpy. There was no one there when we arrived around noon so we played ball with our dogs unleashed in the ball fields.
Nice park
Frank S. Ortiz Dog ParkLarge unfenced area with trails to walk your dogs leashed or unleashed. No real grass anywhere.
Great dog park
Santa Fe Animal Shelter Dog ParkLots of variety in places to take your pups. Especially liked that there was an area dedicated for small dogs. There was even a sign on the front gate showing the height your dog needed to be under in order to go in the area (although a couple of people did not heed to it).
Be aware that there is no grass in the fenced in areas and your dogs will get rather dirty if they play ball or run around a lot. And, as others have said, there are a few small cactus within the enclosures.
Fabulous location
Hilton Santa Fe Buffalo ThunderWe stayed here over the Christmas holidays with our 2 small terriers. The staff were all very accommodating and the room was extra special. They also gave us 2 doggie bags with water, treats and balls. We had a covered porch that went right on to the grounds which was very convenient for when our dogs needed to do their business.
There is also a large fenced in dog park behind the hotel. Lots of doggie stations with waste bags available throughout the property.
We left our dogs crated in the room on 2 occasions and although one did keep barking and crying, no one complained. This was her first time being away from us in a strange location so hopefully this will not continue on future trips.
We will definitely come here again.
