2nd visit!
Rutledge LakeSo close to food and shopping with quiet and fireflies. In a 30’ tow with vehicle and a few little walking trails. Swimming pool and ping pong, fishing, and a little lake with paddle boats. Laundry facilities. Cabins also. Def pup friendly both times.
Fantastic Little Spot
The Cantina at Historic Biltmore VillageEnjoyed a refreshing margarita with queso and a fried brownie with ice cream. Nice little patio with pups welcome and nice view of the shopping district. Service was a little slow, but not unpleasant.
Lots o’ Food!
Red Pig BBQ & BrewAfter a long day of historical sightseeing we stopped here because we were wanting a relaxing BBQ place and saw the outdoor tables and hoped they’d let us sit outside with our 2 Shiba pups. They were happy to oblige and provided ample services for us and a small bowl of water for them. Chicken and beans were delicious! Not my favorite fries, but a good size serving. String style but were squishy and very plain. Pork and beef were good but no real choice in sauces. Overall pretty good and recently renovated it seemed.
Camping is electric/water
Chippokes State ParkLeashed pets welcome in most areas. Some of the historical farming exhibits are outdoor shelters so the pups can still be with you while you read the historical plaques. 4 bones only because there are some restrictions even for leashed pets.
great restaurant but not pup inclusive
Sal's By VictorConstruction in the parking lot made difficult access, but the food was worth it. We opted for a pick up order and took back to our camper so we wouldn't leave the pups so long. 4 bones as the food was great, but not a place for pups,
They Will Sleep!
Colonial WilliamsburgLots of walking but lots of shady paths and grassy areas. They can’t go into the buildings or history recreation areas but they can walk the main thoroughfares. Just remember to bring lots of water and check their little pads. Those bricks can get hot!
