Good for an overnight
Holiday Inn Express Gastonia an IHG HotelHotel was clean, staff friendly but didn’t have much knowledge of the area. No information about restaurants for good take out of delivery and didn’t know if there was a dog park nearby. Otherwise no complaints.
Was fine
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Roanoke SalemWas clean and staff was efficient. Lacked walking area for dog. It was a good night, not anything that stands out.
Could do better
Quality Inn SomersetThe heater was very loud only went on high and every 2 hrs had to switch from hot to cold. Hard to sleep.
Always special
Kimpton Hotel Arras an IHG HotelThe staff is wonderful and never disappoints; very helpful and Tucker loves them. Kimpton is our special splurge and very appreciated.
Super friendly
Candlewood Suites New Bern an IHG HotelUpbeat, friendly, and helpful staff. Hotel was clean, loved the cookie. Room on first floor close to door for frequent jaunts with my dog. Will use this brand in the future.
Dog hated it
Red Roof Inn WalterboroFireworks store across the street and was setting off boomers so dog was shaking half the night. Renovation to room was a start, but still smells of urine when you open. The dog and us waited 20 minutes for someone to come to the office at 4:30pm. Wouldn’t return here.
Clean and friendly
Best Western Plus Richmond Hill InnEnjoyed our stay and will use BW hotels for dependable pet lodging.
Good choice
Stewman's Lobster Pound DowntownExcellent for dogs, lots of dogs there, staff is accommodating and appear to enjoy the dogs. There is a lot of deck space so no waiting and the food was very good for casual fining
Not always easy but worth it
Acadia National ParkPlenty of hikes to enjoy with my dog, loved the relaxed carriage trails. No official bluildings are open to the dogs, to get our pass I was told to leave my dog with a stranger so I could go inside to purchase pass. Not happening!! There is a drive through entrance where you can purchase the pass, Sandy Beech which doesn’t allow dogs. Can be confusing but we loved our time there
